You asked whether Neko was contained or roaming during the long trip. We started her out in her carrier, but she complained continuously, so once past the border we opened the door to the carrier. She generally stayed in there after that but was a lot quieter. Unless she needed to use the litter box. We closed the door again anytime we had to stop for gas/food, but gave her a chance to wonder once back in the car. She seemed to prefer a non moving car to eat or use the LB.
