Well, that yellow at +3 is a disappointment...
Nothing was different in his food last night or this morning.
If anything, he and his brother didn't have much of an appetite yesterday.
We have air conditioning, but regardless, I always note that when it is really hot, the cats eat less.
Now, that has never made sense to me, but maybe it's the time they spend in open windows, and Mother Nature tells them it's hot out, so they eat less. Dunno.

Anyway... any ideas on why I saw yellow at +3, or is it just par for the course, to be expected?

Perhaps it's a delayed effect of the budesonide you gave him last night? I see Toeby gets yellows at AMPS whenever you give it to him the night before.

Interesting... the only morning he didn't was the 18th, but you're right, every other day after, he showed me a yellow in the morning.
Good eye!
I had to re-order his Budesonide this morning, and asked the vets if they could get it compounded in 0.5 mg tablets, so that I could dose him more consistently every day instead of the 1 mg every other day.
I hope they can.
I know that having it in liquid form would make dosing easier, but he is not a fan of liquid meds.... with the exception of Metacam, which he LOVED the taste of.

Ruby's BGs are for the most part elevated for at least 9 hours after I give pred with her morning insulin shot, so I wonder if that's what is happening with Toeby and the budesonide. Does he seem to feel better on the days when he gets the bude versus the days he doesn't?

I'll have to start paying more particular attention...
He gets the meds with his evening meal.
But I'll know tomorrow, I hope, if I can get the smaller dose, which might help.
