I had a crazy day at work and got home later than usual. When I came in the door I smelled something funny...hot kinda smell. I went in the kitchen and my toaster grill was ON since I left this morning. The whole entire kitchen counter corner was so hot. It could have caught on fire. I guess my neighbour didn't notice. The knob for the timer must have gotten stuck so instead of ringing at the end of the time, it just continued to keep the toaster on. I was too busy saying goodbye to the boys and worryng about leaving Blz and didn't notice. After thanking God for not burning down my everything, I tested Blaze and he is at 17.4. Pretty good considering at what point in the day we are. He has been acting a little more like himself. I am not seeing excessive drinking either when I am home and can monitor. Mogs, thank you for thinking of us. Tomorrow the kids come and hopefully things will be smooth.
Oh, thank goodness you're all OK, Paola. ((((Paola, Blaze and Ash)))) This is good news. On water, if you measure out the same amount for the two boys every day and measure what's left when you go to refresh it, it will be easier to track any changes. If there is an increase or decrease in daily consumption, odds are it's a change in Blaze's intake. Hope all goes well with the kids tomorrow. And here's an extra hug just for you, Paola. You had quite the scare today. ((((((((Paola)))))))) Mogs .
Thank you Mogs, you are always very sweet, sending you a huge hug right back ((((((((((MOGS))))))))) I will go give extra cuddles to the boys and will tell them they are from you Yes, what a day...I mean can it get any worse lately? I also got attacked by a swarm of bees on Monday to top it all off. They were in the trunk of my car, in the grocery bags, on my hair... As long as my Blz shows signs of improvement, that's all it matters. I am just trying to survive lately lol
I have an electric water fountain for the boys...since I bought it, years ago, they won't drink from a regular water bowl anymore...I spoiled them I guess...
I once housesat three siamese. A mum and her two grown boys. They were fed on the kitchen counter. One day, one of them must have hit a knob or lever or something and turned the toaster oven on. We did not notice for hours. After that, the toaster oven was kept unplugged and the owners were told when they came back. They also had an ancient, gassy and incontinent basset hound who was afraid of thunder and lightning.
My boys turn the water tap on sometimes and I find it running...i always make sure nothing is clogged....
Ewwwwww!!!! That would absolutely freak me out. <megashudders> Glad you got away unscathed, Paola. Mogs .
