Good morning :)

4units?

Didn't sleep properly last night because Fistuk's tummy was upset and so was my capacity to just let go into sleep.

His back legs and hips are quite heavy and glitchy since last evening in a way that hasn't been so any more.

Excessive drinking this morning but not buckets as it used to be. After that vomited bit of liquid but could be Fistuk's attempt to let our fur ball, it's always look like that when he tries

I worry that you will have another cycle like the day before yesterday if you give 4U. Let me tag @Bron and Sheba (GA) and @tiffmaxee for advice.

How is his appetite? Will he eat for you? How are you - game for another crazy ride?
yes he's eating well and by himself now

Don't understand the excessive drinking and trippy back legs thought at leats the drinking will relay with lower number. does it tell you something

game for a crazy ride if that's the right thing...

Gave 2 U
wanted to move the conversation to today's convo so it's not confusing and I can keep track properly

Fistuk is having a good go at his BF. He alost finished his plate. I managed him at first while we were waiting for a dose decision to make sure he eats with the shot as well.

I will take a +1

Is it ok to wait that long with the shot?
It's okay to give to give a shot as much as 30 mins late and still give the next shot at the usual time.

I won't be around for a few hours after your +3 since I am taking a flight. Will try and check-in when I can but @Bron and Sheba (GA) will be around till your +6 and @Angela & Cleo is on the US East Coast and is an early bird.

I'm feeling unquiet about his stools. I know we0ve changed the food quite a few times lately and lots of honey and HC during almost back to back HG events didn't add.
Before the HG his Stoll did become a bit more formed so I was relaxed seeing there are signs of improvement. But I am not relaxed again. The orange colour since yesterday is new. I want to make sure I'm not missing out on anything that would benefit from eerier care. I'm wondering if it's possible he's developed liver problems.
Any insight on that?

Can you take a photo of it?
I think all the honey and HC has probably contributed to the problem.
Are his eyes the same colour?
Have you stopped the S boulardii?

yes. next time he goes I'll do that. It'll probably be either around +6 or later.

Are his eyes the same colour?
yes

Have you stopped the S boulardii?
no. I haven't managed to update the SS... But I wasn't sure whether I should switch to therapeutic dose from emergency today bc it's been 4 days now on emergency dosing so I gave him 1/2 capsule this morning

I'm also adding psyllium husk to his food. Yesterday I added 3/4 tsp throughout the day. Today I added 1/2tsp to his BF to up the psyllium in take

I also looked at signs of potassium imbalance since Elsie mentioned that as a possible reason for his legs’ twitching. And it could explain the sudden change in his back legs becoming numb like again and his disoriented/crab like walk

Yes I would swap back to the therapeutic dose now.

I think if you are concerned about his potassium levels and his liver, you need to see the vet and get a blood test done.

It's possible that it's the HC and not the honey that's causing the upset. Some cats get an upset tummy from the gluten in the gravy. So LC plus honey might be a better bet.

@Bron and Sheba (GA) please correct me if I'm wrong.
Once again like his mummy. I'm gluten intolerant. And when I take honey it gives me phlem and I noticed the same effect on Fistuk-he starts tearing

I think form the last two HG events is that the honey gets his BG up more quickly but lasts very little and the HC takes longer to pick him up but is more long lasting
This is true. That is why we say to give honey as it gets the BG up quickly. I found it lasted about 1 and a half hours. And if you give some HC food with it, it will keep the BG up longer.
