Yesterday I fought to keep Butters over 50 for a good part of the day. Ended up taking the rest of the skinny reduction that I'd taken the day before. Yesterday just felt like a tough, exhausting day to get through.
Today is her second cycle at 1.25u. Paws crossed the reduction holds.

Have a great day everyone. The sugar dance is so hard. You all are doing an amazing job with your kitties. :bighug:

I think taking the rest of the reduction was smart. When you fight to keep them up generally you are being sent a message. :D

With a number under 40's, the full 0.25 unit reduction is strongly recommended. I think she was sending a message yesterday.

She literally smacked me over the head with the message yesterday. I definitely needed to take the rest of the reduction. I clearly didn't know enough to recognize that I should've taken a full reduction after the 9/22 nighttime cycle, not a skinny. It has been four months since Butters' dx, hardly any time at all. I am still very much a student who has a lot to learn.

Wendy, am I understanding you right, you think I should have reduced by .25u last night (down to 1.125u) and not done what I did, which was take the rest of the full reduction that I didn't take the previous day (but should have taken)?

Her two cycles at 1.25u, last night and today have been pretty flat, higher green cycles.

I would have taken the rest of the reduction like you did since it was so close. Going forward I would try the .25 when she earns the next one. I’m not sure if that’s what Wendy meant though.

That was my thinking, too, and to try a full reduction if/when she earns one again.

I know I don’t need to say this to you, but keep a close eye on her. That was the third cycle of 1.375 that hit 30’s, I would have taken the full reduction.
I thought the depot from the 1.5u dose would have still been in play. I will definitely keep a close eye on her, especially overnight in case she decides to drop lower.

Not bad, right? And a pretty decent PMPS also.
She seems to be at her most playful and interactive when she is in the low greens. THere was playing at all today. I could easily have mistaken her for a decorative throw pillow.
I hope Tyler gives you those greens again soon. :bighug:
She's looking so good, I see you are having to feed less carbs ,so that's good
I see you took the full reduction ,I'm sure she'll do fine.
A throw pillow, you're too funny
I'll take a peek later, have a good night Lyla :bighug::cat:
