Butters must not have liked getting that beach sand in her swimsuit - that's a long time on the beach for her! So right back to the cool green waters of the lagoon today I see! What a girl!! Surf it baby, surf it!

Butters slept all day, pausing only to eat and poop. The pooping came after 57 hours straight without one, so that was a relief. Hopefully the non-stop sleep has to do with carb withdrawal, still.
I gouged a small part of my ring finger out with the lancet when I was changing it in the lancing device. I use 28g lancets because I can only find those or 33g, which are too thin to draw enough blood. Did it ever hurt! Was this some form of karmic payback for all of the ear pokes.
Fun day for us both.
 
Yay poop! Hows the weather where you are? Maybe butters isn't ready for the cooler air? Sad your cat-cation is over? Just here to throw out ideas :) I'm sure Butter's spunk will be back!

And I've totally poked myself with the lancet needle when changing it - BUT I think that hurts more than using the actual lancet bc it doesn't poke out as far.

This was more like a small piece of flesh was stuck to the end of the lancet by the time I was finished with it. :) I was kinda joking around about karmic payback. My humour can be dry or just plain not funny I suppose!:p Butters isn't outwardly bothered at all by the pokes. They may sear her soul, but she doesn't show it.

Her fur is getting ridiculously thick so that could have something to do with it. She will be getting a shave soon. Maybe I'll post before and after photos. I think her burst of high energy is more the anomaly, unfortunately. Some days I make her chase me with a treat bag just to make sure she moves a little.

The Butters I am used to sleeps all day, snores all night and doesn't hear the autofeeder, who acts like an inanimate object and whose chest I routinely stare at just to make sure she is still alive....yep, that's more her style. Seeing the burst of energy when her BG numbers were in the 50s and 60s was amazing and made me want more, though.

Did you test your own blood glucose so long as you had the opportunity? :D I've gotten to confirm a couple of times now that I'm not diabetic. (ouch) Have a great night!
 
OUCH!!! Join the club...I stabbed myself in the abdomen the other day with a wayward syringe - fully loaded - I was flicking it and somehow it became airborne and launched itself right into my belly! I have a lovely bruise there to mark the spot! I hope you tested yourself - never waste a drop :)
