YAY! Looks like he did not drop too much further after I went to bed last night (well, actually, this morning!). Perhaps his trip to RBC has finally come to an end & we will be seeing nicer colors for awhile.

Last night, he ate all of his +2 and +5 snacks, but not much of his +8 snack. This morning, I added another time to his timed feeder.....since he hasn't always been eating all of his +8 snack recently, I have set the timed feeder to shift another space 2 hours before insulin time (I put some water into that space rather than food).

Even though Morris was annoyed with me testing him so much last night, he was quite happy to see me this morning! He curled up right on my lap & snuggled in!!!

I will be out most of this morning doing my mom duties......but should be home this afternoon for spot checks.

    Hi Gwen!

Morris sounds like a happy kitty! Good to hear.

Can u squeeze in an out-the door spotcheck for the morning?

    Have a good day!

Actually, when I posted this morning, that was my 'out the door' post! LOL! I am now home from the very wet & cold soccer field!

Looks like maybe Morris did go a little lower overnight & was on his way up when I took his AMPS reading. Not exactly sure of our afternoon plans, but I will do my best to get a few checks in during the day to see where he is headed next!

Didn't get as many spot checks in this afternoon as I would have liked. Dh is trying to get back into my good books......he took me out shopping & to our local casino for the afternoon! LOL!

While we were out, Morris had a nice nap with ds.

Today, Morris ate all of his +2 snack, but not much of his +5 or +8 snacks. Will get another check or two in this evening & I will be in & out all day tomorrow, so I should be able to get a few more checks in then as well.

While I was 'playing' with his ears today, I checked out his tattoo. Turns out, he had it put on him in 1999 when we had him fixed.....the vet figured he was about a year or so old when that was done, so that makes him about 11ish now rather than the 8-9 years old I was thinking!! Time sure flies when you're having fun!

I have to look at my receipts from the vet to remember how old I think my cats are, and even then I don't really know. IMHO age 10 is about when cats start to get really interesting (their personalities are set, they're secure in the world, and they let themselves show through).

Now come on down from the pink, Morris!

I remember that it was the fall time when we brought him home......I just thought my kids were older than that when we got him! If he was fixed in the fall of 1999, dd was less than 1 year old (she was born Jan '99) and ds had just turned 2 (he was born Aug '97).

I remember the day we decided to bring him home from MILs house clear as day.....she was devestated that she couldn't keep him (her daughter is allergic). I suggested we bring him home to our house rather than her taking him to the SPCA. She responded "What will Wayne think?!?!?" My answer was "Does it matter?" Definately NOT the thing to say to MIL!! LMAO! She then gave me The Look! I then eased her mind by saying "Worse case scenerio, he doesn't like the idea & the cat still winds up with the SPCA" She seemed happy with that response. I then turned to ds & asked him what we should call the cat.....I gave him 2 choices Morris or Tigger.....he choose Morris!
