No R given per Cassandra last night or this morning but if numbers stay this high will have to in 6 hours...for Alex's sake.to keep the bad guys away.
Alex is peeing like a race horse. Even in the pan with the wee wee pads I noticed last night. Didn't notice anything else too tired btb.
Happy New Year :)

yesterday....

not as easy as you think Heather..he is fast and quiet until he starts kicking litter around. I had absolutely no idea that he was using wee wee pads also until I saw him go into the box I have set up for Jackson last night. Alex is an equal opportunity pee-er. I wish the wallet thing hadn't happened to me last night so I could at least get more wee wee pads today. now that I know Jackson isn't excreting an abnormal amount of urine I feel somewhat better. Jaime thinks Jackson has something 'going on' at the rate I tell him he's soaking up those pads, now I know.... ;)

Re: 1/1 Alex AMPS 405

Oh, man. I saw that you got your wallet stolen last night, blah, what a crummy thing to have happen just as you wanted to go out. I hope the new year is better to you and Alex. And maybe if you can get pain meds tomorrow you can find out if that is influencing Alex's BG. At least it would answer that question.

Good luck on the new dose too. I hope it starts to kick it soon.

Re: 1/1 Alex AMPS 405

Just to reiterate and make sure you recognize the recommendation of the dosing team regarding the administration of R:

Caryl, Pending any major changes by the PM cycle, why don't you take Alex up to 3.5u tonight. Normally we would recommend a 0.25u increase here because of the numbers in the 200's, but those are most likely being brought from the R doses. We do have a condition for this recommendation, and that is that you hold off on shooting R for awhile until we can actually see how low the Lantus is taking him. Is that do-able?

I understood that and I did it for 2 full cycles...Alex has not come down below 300 at all for those 2 cycles. I think that would give them a fair idea of what the Lantus is doing. I have called out to them and haven't gotten any response. Now I feel he is in danger. I thought someone would be here with me on this...so I think they would want me to do what's best for Alex after 24 hours and that's what I'll do when I see his PMPS if I don't see a response from the dosing team by then, ..... but thanks for your concern :)
