Well... let's do this, I'm a seasoned FD caretaker.... no fear here. :nailbiting:

Super low pre-shot. I decided to make Peking Ducken at 9% carbs her breakfast to front load her some with carbs. I am home today to monitor, but then again, I am working. So I wanted to bump her up some just in case I get stuck in a call or something.

What's with the stacked bowls? To give it height? :-)
Btw, I read that cats would prefer to eat from a shallower/wider dish/bowl. They don't like their whiskers touching against the bowl when they eat.

Oh my, Bella is jealous, Kona gets to eat on the counter.
Bhooma, I read that too and started using small plates for Bella, and she likes it, I mean it's less messy. She still eats as if she did not see food for days, but somewhat easier and cleaner!

The stack bowls are 1) I’m lazy and left last night’s there. Sometimes happens… 2) Yes, I give my laziness an excuse that it being raised makes it easier for her to eat.

Oh nice tip, I’ll check that link later, but I’ll move to shallow bowl or plate going forward. Thanks!!!!

Our daughter must read the same things because she purchased such a bowl for Isaiah, who was with us for over five years.

I admired it and looked and looked for it on Chewy.... never could find it. I thought that's where she got it. Lo and behold at Christmas, Leo & Andy have new bowls deom her! I alternate using those with the old bowls so now there's always a fresh clean bowl and no stopping to clean when timing is an issue. Time is always an issue for me. LOL

Dropping carbs off now, will continue to feed with no carb to hopefully feed the curve and stay flat.

Back to test at 10am to be sure no more substantial drops, then will probably test in hour increments, then two hour increments.

whoa, look at that green streak starting with last night's PMPS (2nd lowest ever) and continuing on into today! Go Kona! Unless I missed it, she's never had a green streak like that before. Great to see!

I took often get to work from home, and my job often involves being on conference calls for hours --- I've actually done the "stepping away, brb" and gone and done a quick BG test! Well, once I really got the hang of it. Back on the call in under 5 minutes. :D

Kit has low shallow bowls she eats from, and the girl is so messy. But she likes to take bites and then turn her head away from bowl and drop some on the floor. :rolleyes:

Did I buy 5 of the same larger dish, and 4 of the same slightly smaller dish so I could always have clean ones available (larger for meals and smaller for snacks, but both wide and shallow for whisker room), why yes I did! Am I thinking of getting more because I am a ridiculous human? Also yes. :joyful::joyful:

No drop from the +4.5 to +5.5, so I think shes passed the nadir or just now in the middle of it.

Worse, Kona get's to eat her breakfast and dinner on the dinner table. It's where I do her AMPS test every morning as well.

I know, I know, this is horrible and I'm super embarrassed about that, but she runs me and this house.

I typically eat in the living room while watching TV. Rest assured though when I have company over the table is COMPLETELY sanitized from top to bottom and I hide this bad habit, ha ha. Kona is also very good, she knows not to jump on the kitchen counters and she rarely jumps on the kitchen table throughout the day. I'm usually waking up to her on the table on the towel ready for her test first thing in the morning. Of course she associates it with breakfast. Kinda why I haven't really bothered her with rules. It's just so easier to have her high up when I'm testing, the kitchen table sits high.

Yessss, Kona does that all the time, constantly turning her had schloooping food around as she loooks out the window for critters or threats?

Funny, I had JUST bought 12 or so of these little square bowls because they fit perfectly in the dishwasher and she get's a fresh, sanitized one each meal and most of the time even snacks!

No worries, I'll move to the smaller plates. Whatever is best for my baby!

Oh, I'm not worried :-) Bella rules my house, too. I was thinking recently that testing her on a table might be easier. I'm doing it on the floor.

Afternoon Jason, Wow Kona had an amazing cycle last night and today, Good job Jason keeping her surfing.
I just loved watching the video and listening to her eat lol
I use flat dishes for Tyler and also raise the dish with books or whzter works. I have to put tons of newspapers down all around the dish when he eats. He eats pate and still flings it all over lol
So I'll just pick up the top layer of the newspaper where ever he made a mess and have the clean Ines alredy there.
In my town we get a news paper called The Observer free , all the stores have them. I go in to every store and take tons of the lol
All my neighbors know when they are dine reading their newspapers they might get delivered to give them to me, they must think I'm crazy, but I do tell them why I need them.
I hope you and Kona have a nice night and she surfs safely :bighug::bighug::D:D:D

That's a great idea, I should use old papers under the plates, I've been using old towels, but then I have to wash them all the time. Good idea!

I'm hoping for a nice, safe surf tonight, I'm really tired.
