Moses is doing great! Quite smacky these days. Does anybody read the "Get Fuzzy" comic? Moses needs a Smacky toy or at least Mr. Bones. Ha!

Also, today I noticed that Moses' ear veins are pretty big and veiny. Kinda gross, like hulk ears. But other than that, he's great.

    Re: 1/18 Moses AMPS 236 +9(200) PMPS 152 +3(95) Question!

So my cat is acting fine, really hungry...

I've never seen him with that low of a number at +3 of 95! I'm kinda scared nailbite_smile

Should I feed him? Test him in a couple minutes? The reader has been acting a little funny...

Feeding is fine! I give Gabby about a teaspoon or two of food every couple of hours. Many of our kitties get hungry when their numbers drop. This is a good thing since it tells you that Moses will eat spontaneously when you're not home and, as a result, it's unlikely that his numbers will drop too low.

A little bit of food helps to soften both drops and rises in BG. So by all means, feed the hungry boy!

Ya he scarfed his dinner at 6:30... I haven't fed him yet.

Is this typical? Cat's being at 95 at night? I mean, I know it is when your OTJ, but... I'm totally worried that in 3 more hours at Moses' peak, he's going to be way too low... and I'll be asleep...

I'm freaking out, should I test him again? Give him the high carb food?

Moses is fine, this is what we've been wanting, GREEN!

You can feed him about 2 tsp of his regular LC food (if you haven't already) and test again in 1/2 hour. We'll be here (just make sure you change the subject line of your 1st post when you get your new number, so we'll be able to see it when we scan the board).

Oh! I fed him a little can of HC... fancy feast grilled tuna and gravy! Should I take it away? I was going to test in 5 minutes?

that's fine, but he doesn't need a whole can, just a couple of tsp.

Alright, whew. He gobbled a good half of that can. His numbers raised 4 after he had eaten for only 10 minutes.

So I'm glad. Whew. That was new and kinda scary but now I understand what's going on. And see how it's a regular thing to have the kitty free access to a LC incase PM numbers are low... okay. Live and learn. ohmygod_smile

I'll keep checking out other kitties spreadsheets, but does Moses' numbers seem on par? He won't need a decrease, will he?

I'm going to bed, after I get my own bedtime snack. I'll pass on the gravy...

Thanks for your help Sienne and Libby, I was kinda scared. Goodnight!

This is normal, and very good!

He might (probably will) bounce high by morning, since this is the first time he has hit green. Don't be too shocked if you see a high number in the morning, just give his regular dose and it will come down on its own.

    Yay!
