1/19 Cleo AMPS 118 +3 115 +6 73 PMPS 163 +3 143

Morning Angela , wow nice blue PMPS last night and this morning and all blues after both Pre Shots, and a green @+6
Looks like she's working that dose now, Keep up the good work Miss Cleo :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:

I fed a smidge of 11% with her breakfast and again at her +3 snack because I wasn't going to be around until the +6. I'm hoping it slowed any drop.
Keeping my fingers crossed that she doesn't bounce too hard from the MC.
Does anyone else experience this intermittent carb sensitivity with their precious FD kitties? Some cycles she's extra sensitive to carbs and other cycles it's like nothing is happening.

Sometimes I notice a rise in Chispa's BG after feeding (almost irrespective of carbs%), but more often it doesn't seem to change anything. I wish feeding her higher carbs would prevent diving, but it doesn't seem to, or at least not that I can tell.

Dose Question, this is cycle 6 on 2units. The lowest nadir I caught (tough time getting tests in) is 73. Should I increase in the AM?

Not sure I can explain what I’m trying to say properly…but I always figured the days where the higher carb “impacted” him less was because he would have actually gone even lower without it. And the days it impacted him
“More” I just assumed he was going to rise anyway and maybe the intervention wasn’t necessary. Is that considered intermittent carb sensitivity?
Also, I know it’s hard to prove, but I did feel Herman was fairly carb sensitive… on the few occasions where I fed him high carb because I couldn’t be there to check him his numbers were very high. Otherwise we generally stick to under 4% and I don’t notice if any difference to his numbers within that range.
Question…you said “I hope she doesn’t bounce too hard from the MC” …. can they bounce from eating higher curb? I just thought the only bounce was from going too low?

Thank you my dear @Amy & Herman :bighug:.
Good question. According to the stickies a bounce is (1) low(er) numbers that a cat is not used to and (2) a steep drop.
I guess what I meant was a "rise" in BG from using higher carb food. She used to be very carb sensitive when giving her 10% carb would drive up her BG over 50 points in an hour. Now, not so much change, if any in BG after 2 hours. Maybe this means she's settling in to 2 units.
