Morning, LLanders!

Have no idea what happened overnight - even though I went to bed early, I kept waking every hour or so to make sure I wasn't oversleeping...

Esse seems just fine right now; wanted food, so put some down for her (and everyone). She is sitting at me feet, trying to convince me to pick her up and snuggle. Too bad I have some paperwork to do this morning.

Weather station is telling everyone to stay home, and, if on the road, be aware and alert to flying branches, downed power lines, and massive thunderstorms. I will be out in some of the worst of it this afternoon, and it's probably going to be one heck of an adventure. Winds to 80 mph, thunderstorms producing hail and 1.5 inches an hour...yeah, it's gonna be nasty.

At least I have a few hours this morning before the storm comes in...

Thanks, guys. It's weird; I've never read a weather report for my area which warned of flying debris (and in my tired, half asleep brain, I first read that as flying "trees"...), nor warned anyone to keep their windows shut, secure the doors, and stay away from windows. I wonder how the hospital will fare? And boy, driving in that is not going to be fun at all...

Still and all, I love when nature shows up...it's awesome and incredible and simply wonderful to observe. And I'll take a nasty storm over an EQ any day.

Wow, look at that boing! I wonder where she went last night??

Am out of here in 10 minutes - gonna fight the storm (it's already here...) and get to the hospital; this is going to be a very interesting day to be sure.

It's bad out there. I live 13.7 miles from parking lot to doorstep, and it usually takes me oh, 20 minutes or so. Add another few minutes (tops 5) to get to study group...

The drive home started at 4:00. I got to my study group at 5:30.

I passed many downed trees (thankfully none falling on me), drove carefully down freeways that were flooded, and school lost power. So did the house. But...I'm home now, drying off, and poked Essemama. 384...shot 2.25, wcr happy purring and preening, and I will head to bed shortly; I will be up at 3 am, and have to be at school by 6 am. The rain will supposedly continue through tomorrow, with strong thunder storms (we've already had it), wind gusts, and heavy rain overnight. Flash flood warnings in effect until tomorrow night...

I do love this weather. I'd really love it if I could be home, snuggled under a quilt, a good book in my hand, and cats crawling all over me. LOL.

I am so with you on this one... Weather has got to be one of my favorite things. that and the cats all over me thing... Be safe! Hope Esse comes down soon. My Mannie can be quite the bouncer too. Usually short-lived, but he does like to bounce.

Take care! Michelle

I was thinking about you because your weather made our local news. Sounds more like here than California! I hope all is well and that the weather doesn't stress Esse. At least she isn't threatening a hypo event on you!

PS I adore weather. One of the last things we experience but can't change!
