Good Caturday morning,
Amps 305
Barely pink :)
Hooray for the smallest details.
Hoping for a lower cycle after an active cycle last night. She went to low numbers on her Libre, but when checked with an ear prick the lowest I caught was a 165 on a handheld meter.
So while a nice number, not stellar.
But I was able to get a bit of sleep, in bed by 11 pm which was nice (+5).

Tonight we all will be out of the house at +1 for a dinner for DH’s birthday. I’ll be watching her on the Libre, will add a few teaspoons of 9.25% to her 6% meal & add 1 tsp 9.25% to her +1,2,3 (6% snacks).
Will load 12.5% in remote auto feeder and can open that up if needed to give higher carbs.
If all else fails, I will bail the party and come home. (Obviously my girl’s safety comes first!) DH won’t miss me if he’s surrounded by his family
Hope you all have a great day. Gonna be in the teens here today. Bitter cold.
Stay warm all. :cat:

Good morning Staci!
Glad to hear that you were able to get to bed at the decent time! :)
Happy Birthday to your DH!
We are also celebrating my DH's Bday today at home ;) His actual birthday isn't until Monday but today is more convenient for everyone.
Happy Bday to our DHs :):):)
Sounds like you have a solid plan. The remote autofeeder is a great addition!
Enjoy the day and dinner tonight! Stay warm :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh that’s so funny, Kit. My DH’s actual birthday is also Monday. No wonder we are bonded (for so many reasons, this is just one more that had not yet surfaced, Lol).
Happy birthday to your husband as well. And have a wonderful celebration!! :)

I wish we were celebrating at home, but he wants to take everyone to his favorite restaurant. Luckily it’s close to home (so if I really have to, I will scoot out). Taking my own car so I have an exit strategy in place. (Am I ocd about Ivy? You know I am) :woot:
Have a great day and a safe surf for Mikan! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Sounds like a busy evening - but you are prepared! Also, stay warm! We're back in bitter cold as well - currently it's 0 degrees with a wind chill of -13. But it's supposed to get up to 13 real feel, so maybe the wind will cooperate (hahahahahhaah)
Well you have us beat. It’s 18 degrees now. Should be a balmy 19 when I go out after dark tonight. Can’t wait, not).
I hope you and Kit cat are snug inside today just chilling with the pets and cuddles, Alicia :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Yay? I win? :joyful::joyful::joyful:
I have to go grocery shopping at some point today, but I'll probably go this afternoon. I prefer to go early in the morning because there are fewer people, but it's too cold, and a certain kitten who shall remain nameless makes it harder to leave early sometimes.

Oh same, any appointment or errands are scheduled around the kitten’s bg.
I once canceled a hair appointment two hours before I was due there because she was too low for me to leave and they told me that they would “make a note on my chart”. Apparently I’m gaining a “reputation” in my hair salon. Lol.
I actually went out in the snowstorm yesterday, because Ivy was quite high and I decided there would be nobody on the roads.
I got to the grocery store and it was literally empty and half the shelves were bare. I think they didn’t get their deliveries, and there was no staff to put the food out if they did have it
I was in and out of there in well under an hour it was sort of comical. I didn’t feel like battling the crowds today. So good luck. And no flip flops for you young lady, please. :p

Happy Caturday, Staci and Ivy, and Happy "B minus 2" Birthday to DH! Your plan for Ivy sounds like the most brilliant use of technology -- I didn't even know remote feeders existed! I hope you and your family have a super fun celebration!! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Good meowning and happy Caturday!

Looks like Ivy wanted to look pretty in pink for your husband's birthday. Hopefully she comes down nice and easy and surfs safely while everyone is away. What a purrrfect timing for the remote auto feeder.

Stay warm and enjoy the evening.
It's pretty cold here as well. Currently -12°C with windchill -17°C (that's around 1.4°F)

Happy (early) birthday to your husband

Hi Karen, thanks so much for the kind wishes :) I am trying to do everything I can and use all technology when possible to help in this fight. I figured this type of feeder had to exist, and with a little digging, I found a few that looked good. So far so good. I tested this one and it worked as needed.
I hope you and Chispa have a nice weekend and safe surfing :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Good meowing, Karolina, Nestle and Peanut :)
Yikes it’s cold there! Stay inside if possible. I really don’t love winter. Probably the reason my ski career was so brief. Never took to it due to the cold. My toes and fingers…..not for me!o_O
My husband calls me “an indoor kitty”. Probably true to some extent.
The feeder tested well when I tried it the other night. Now you understand my push for finding one last week. This evening was on my mind and stressing me out! I knew I needed a solution and fast! Whew.:stop:
Of course Ivy decided to be pretty in pink today….and that usually means an active night based on her recent patterns. So my anxiety will be BIG as today goes on.
I’ll line up all of my dominoes and pray for a good outcome…or I will come home very early…we shall see. Maybe she will surprise me and cooperate (she USUALLY has a very active Saturday night, our one night per week we try to go out for a nice dinner).
It’s like she TRIES to keep mom and dad home every time, such a smart kitty.

Hope you all have a great weekend! Stay warm :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Oh I'm with you on that. I'm such a spring/summer girl. The only winter sport I'll do is skating but not for very long. I always question why I still live in this cold country. Although at least I'm not in Alberta, where it was -40°C just the other week. Maybe I'll move back to Europe one day and enjoy mild winters haha. One can dream.

So happy the auto feeder arrived on time and it works well. Hopefully you won't have to use it tonight but just knowing it's there should put you at ease.
I remember with Nestle, first time around he'd almost always pick to drop when I was going to work or was already away for overnight. Sometimes he'd pick to start dropping in the PM cycle and usually it was when I had a very early morning wake up  it's like they know and want to mess with us.

You're doing such a great job and you're such a good mama to Ivy. She's in good hands.

I hope you try to relax for tonight and enjoy the festivities :cat::bighug:

Thank you for letting me know your saga. That helps me to know I’m not completely unhinged or over the deep end, which I think I am. My husband also thinks I am, but that’s nothing new.

I keep hoping this is going to get a little easier and that’s why I keep trying to find additional tools to help in this fight.
I can’t imagine how you managed by having to be away for work with Nestle going through the first round.
You’re clearly strong to be able to handle all that I’m very impressed.

I didn’t realize you weren’t from CA. Where did you live in Europe? How did you get to CA? It’s so interesting to find out these stories. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Staci :)
Happy to see a pink rather than red start! And a very lovely cycle last Pm and some flat today. Seems like Ivy is making some good progress!

Sounds like you're set for tonight and have what you need in case your girl needs extra help. Of course she's the most important one. Any DH should know that :joyful:

I hope Ivy will keep safe so that you'll get a lovely Caturday night out :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly, thank you so much!! I’m getting ready to feed her and get ready myself now. Fingers and paws crossed for a safe night for her so we can have a little celebration.
I hope you have a cozy night :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Pmps 272
Of course she went to pinks for part of the afternoon and past few hours back yellow. Added 2.5 tsp 12.5% in with her 6% meal.
Feeders are ready with a mix of 6% plus some added 12.5% (for my sanity).
Oddly she fought me on her shot tonight. I have a few nice scratches and bites to add to my collection of battle scars
Good thoughts are most welcome for a stable surf while I go out this evening. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Come on, Ivy, let mom and dad go out for the party!!

Happy birthday to your DH. I hope you will have a really good time and not have to worry about “Missy”.

Well how much time you've got??? Haha

To be completely honest I don't even know how I did that. And I'm not sure I could do it all over again. But I do know that it was thanks to this group and their wonderful members and their guidance and help that we brought Nestle back to life and into remission. I can confidently say if it wasn't for this group Nestle wouldn't be here today.

As for me I was born and raised in Poland and I came to Canada to live with my dad when I was 15.
My dad was living abroad since I was a baby and then when I was 5 my parents divorced and eventually started their second families. Eventually they made the decision for me to come live in Canada with my dad and his family (my stepmom and my 2 brothers) for better life, education etc etc.
My other family (my mom, step-dad, 2 sisters and a brother) still live in Poland but thanks to my job I'm able to go back and visit at least twice a year.
This August I will be celebrating my 25th year in this cold but fantastic country

Hey Staci!! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

"remote auto feeder and can open that up if needed to give higher carbs"

Between the Libre and being able to check things out remotely.. and the remote auto feeder. That is amazing!!! The problem I have is assuming Kona might need higher carbs and just have to load up the feeder regardless.

You have all the tools, having this ability to not feed is awesome!!!

Hi Staci! Come on, Ivy, let your mom go! Maybe she wants to come with you?
It's 2º here, -13 windchill and going down for the night. But very warm tomorrow, we might hit 20 degrees! And I'm talking ºF, of course.
I hope you have a good birthday party. Your DH is in between my kids: my son turned 16 last Wednesday and my daughter will be 18 on Thursday.

I will respond to all your wonderful messages in the morning :)
Very tired now. I think all went ok. She went lo on Libre while out. I remote fed a few times.
When I got home she read lo on Libre. Tested on Contour got 203.
Seems very odd disparity of numbers. I will change Libre in the am. Think it may be faulty.
(Thank goodness I know how to do it myself when I need to and have spares on hand). Sigh.
Tech is great when it works well. And when it doesn’t, it sucks. :banghead:

Buenos días de sábado,
Amperios 305
apenas rosa:)

:gato:[/CITA]
Yes Stacy, this is how we all are when we have a commitment to go out, I try not to go to any event because I really have a hard time when I am away from home. I hope you had a good time, we are still here, studies and more studies....

Well how much time you've got???
Wow, that’s such an interesting life story Karolina. I would never have guessed that was your history.
Sounds like you have the best of all and lots of good family around you. And that you get to see them, all which is really wonderful. It’s great that your job takes you places and enables you to see your family often.
It’s great that you love being where you ended up in Canada. Thanks for sharing your story with me :)

Hi Jason, I have a feeling from what I know about you that you are also into all the technology and enjoy that kind of stuff as well.
Like I said when it works well it’s awesome but when it doesn’t work so well, it drives me completely crazy. :(
Hope you, Kona and Cleo are all doing well and staying warm :bighug::bighug::bighug:
