I everyone in Lantus land. I want to thank everyone especially Jojo and Jill for getting us to this point of being insulin free for 6 months (officially 6 mos. yesterday). Sparky is doing well he sleeps with me every night and is still his fiesty self.
To the newcomers I want to say that you are so lucky that you have found this board. As you have heard before it has saved my cat's life. With the diet change and testing feverishly Sparky's bg and the help of the board I was able to whittle down his dosage of insulin to the amount of .1 units bid. We did our OTJ trial and he had a few spikes but I discovered he was eating the left over dry dog food! After that he stayed below 100 for the rest of the trial and is still getting great numbers.

WoooHoo another 6 months! Our 6 months is next week, but I have no doubts we will make it :smile: It's nice to hear that the "old-timers" are still around and honor thier supports here in LL! Here's to another 6 months! drinking24
