If there was a color contest for ss yesterday, Latte might have been in the running. Only color we missed was black...but thats just because I didnt test pm +3 or +4. She was certainly there at that point.

Slowly teasing me with her food this a.m. So much for letting her ears heal before specialist appt tomorrow...they are trashed. Maybe I will give her that manicure today!

You sure had your hands full yesterday.

I hope the trip through RBC clears quickly. She should get some pokus breaks today.

This poor girl never gets a break! And Im not talking about me.
Vomit (or regurgitation from drinking/eating too fast?), right as I was about to test and medicate.

    +2.25- 182

No food on board, vomiting, and clearing bounce. WOOOHOOO!
Oh wait - she has just decided she needs a few pieces of kibble. :? And now back to the wet...

I relinquish all possibilities that I may have ANY control over her actions!

Holding off on fluids for a while until I see where she takes this. She is pretty well hydrated at the moment, but will be helpful with the vomiting to have some later on.

None of us have control over our cats. They are cats. It's their nature to be unpredictable, especially when we think we've got them all figured out.

I hope the rebound clears quickly.

well it's good to see she's clearing the boucne already, but I know it's setting you up for worry today.

Come on Latte - let's stick abouve 80 today to give your momma's heart a rest, eh? I hear a gentle surf in caribbean blue colors is very relaxing for both Princess and beans... give it a try pretty one... ;-)

Came looking for an update.. Didn't want to call today incase you were napping. Peeked at her SS..much nicer numbers than last night, looks like she's clearing that bounce out. And nice to see she's eating after the am vomit.

Hope she gives you a lovely dark blue pmps...and is able to surf tonight. Will check back later.

Latte had a good day today. She got up multiple times from her naps to either eat (not just kibble - but a little wet, too!), do some laps in the apt, and sprawl out in the hallway floor. She has been very alert and talkative. She got a few more tests because she kept acting "well" Poor thing is going to stop eating again because she will associate eating with getting tested immediately afterwards.

    AMPS- 315
+2 182 (vomit 3/4 can food and water..starting eating again 15 min later)
+3.5 151 (eating, drinking, howling, exploring behind throne - usually dropping sign)
+4.5 158 ( jumped up from deep sleep for some kibble)
    +6 112
    +8- 148
+9 140 (eating wet, drinking, howling, pacing)
PMPS 210 (got up from deep sleep to eat kibble @ +11...shouldnt be affecting pmps #)

    Dose:
    Last night I did a f1.5.
This a.m. and tonight it may have been the fatter one. I may be talking outloud to myself when i try to explain it, but when I do the f1.5, depending on how I look at it - upside down, sideways, etc..it does not always look very fat. When I pull it in the syringe and look straight on it does. The fatter of the two, is definately fat no matter how I hold the syringe. But no light between the line and plunger(that would be my 1.75).

Its very difficult to differenciate between the two, but I think the fatter is more obvious and I can be more consistent. Anyway, we will try it the next few cycles while I will be home and make sure she stays pretty solid with it. This way I can move it down a fraction on days she is not eating well.

I sure hope that made sense.

    Hi Carolyn,

Your little Latte has really been through the wringer, but everything you have done for her really shows how much you love her. Before Sami I had another cat with CRF (chronic renal failure) and had to give him fluids daily. Our kitties are so lucky to have us. Not all owners would be willing to do whatever it takes to make them comfortable and happy.

Hope you see some good numbers over night. It looks like you might be set up to see some green tonight.

I see on your ss that Latte was refusing food. Did she eat something? If not it might be a bounce from all those low blues today. Whatever it is I hope it doesn't last.

    Hi Tina!
Latte and I have to do things a little differently because of her various complications.

She has not had food yet. I dont worry as much in the p.m., as I do in the a.m. Latte gets prednisolone at night which often raises her bg quite a bit (but not usually this much) during the p.m. cycle. Because of this and the fact that she is usually disinterested in food until about 3-4hrs after shot and pred, I typically let her be and eat when she gets hungry. If Im leaving for the evening, she is lower than expected/dropping, or she is not eating around +3 or +4 I give her babyfood. Mornings are different, since Im often shooting a dropping number. She has to get food in her pretty quickly. She did snack quite well all day, so she has food 'on board' for the evening. I wont worry for another hour or so.

Just thought I would explain in case you come visit us more often...we have a few common themes in here - not eating, vomiting, big drops, and high pm cycles.

Still though, this is puzzling high and she looks stoned again. Really does not like these higher numbers! Wonder if this is risidual bounce from yesterday's 42, OR a completely new one from her 112 today? Do her liver just get extra sensitive from yesterday?
