Butch was in a bounce last night and surfed yellow and blue today. He is clearing his bounce tonight with a big dive into the greens at the +2. Fed snack of hc 20%. Hope this slows his dropping and keeps him steady.

Hi Staci. Thank you for the well wishes. It definitely was a deep dive with not much rest. I was monitoring and feeding till +5

I finally ordered my new iPhone. I should receive it this weekend. I am trying to clean up my current phone before having all transferred to the new.
Staci, do I download the Libre 3 app to the phone that will become Butch's? If so, what do I need to do so I can monitor on my phone?

I have one Libre 2 sensor left after this one expires.

Hi Madeline, I’m so glad you’re feeling better. It seems to take a while to get over that stomach bug.
I was also very drained and took time to get my energy back (of course, the long nights we spend with little sleep don’t help us recover quickly)

I hope Butch is able to let you sleep tonight so you can start to feel better

So yes, you will want to download the Libre 3 app onto his phone as well as the LibreLinkUp app should be on both of your phones.
I believe from his phone you will create a user account and send it to you as someone you are giving permission to view his Libre data, so you’ll be sending it to a second email account and you can accept Butch’s invitation.
(It’s been a few years since I set this up so I’m not 100% clear on what I did).
I forget if I suggested to you that you become a member of the Facebook group “ Freestyle Libre for dogs and cats”.
They have all of the information about how to set everything up. I believe you can find all the information there.
Just let me know if you’re having a hard time following what is suggested just make sure to message me.

You’ll want to get a new prescription for a Libre 3 and at the same time get a prescription as well for a Libre 3 plus. The regular Libre 3 is being discontinued (I believe in September), but I know they will start phasing them out at some point over the next several months, so I would start possibly with the Libre 3, which is what I use and at some point we can transition over to the 3 plus.
The 3 plus is a little bit more expensive because it’s a 15 day sensor (and has some different capabilities that we won’t use).

You will then put the Libre Linkup on your new phone with your own log in and you will then see his data being sent to your new phone
No more scanning his sensor and chasing him around to scan him
