Two years ago today Cleo was dx as diabetic. Its been a fun 2 years :confused:! Truly it has been. Managing FD is now just part of our day just like playing and purring and napping and her incessant demands to clean out her litter box after a poop :rolleyes:.

To our FD family, Thank you for the wisdom, words of encouragement, paw holding, laughs, tears and sometimes outrageous posts (others not ours, Cleo and I are classy ;)).

To our FD Dance instructors, (you know who you are), we send you the Biggest Hugs and our Deepest Thanks :bighug::kiss::bighug::kiss:.

To the newer members, it will get easier, you will learn your kitty's patterns, you will love greens and most importantly FD is something your cat HAS, it does not define your relationship with your furbaby. Remember this!

Meowy Anniversary Angela and Cleo.

You're doing such a beautiful job with your girl. And you're always some helpful to other members.
We wish you both all the very best

That’s sweet, Angela. You are getting to be an old timer around here. Can we say happy anniversary? Seems odd, but what is really happy is that you have learned how to help Cleo to make her healthier and happier with an excellent quality of life. You still have your sassy calico girl to love! So yes….. happy anniversary! It’s like with my girl Ginger with heart disease. I’m very happy for every anniversary we have. I’m so glad she’s still with me. She has a spreadsheet to track all of her daily meds and supplements and I have to feed her about six times a day or more, but I am so happy she’s here and doing great (the vet didn’t think she would make it a month when she had her first pleural effusion.) And since Cleo does happen to have FD, I am really glad that you landed here with us at the FDMB. We get to “meet” the nicest people here and their really great cats!

What a sweet post, Angela.
For those of us who struggle with unpredictable, extreme ups and downs, finicky eating and balancing work, family, and FD, your kindness, support and wisdom have been priceless. You have saved so many of us from going down into the abyss of FD confusion!
Thanks you for being you and being here, Angela.
Mikan also sends you :kiss::bighug::kiss::bighug:

2 years ago I was devasted, 1 year ago I was overbearing and smothering, and today it ABSOLUTELY is a HAPPY day! The fear is a speck in the rear view mirror :) The bond we have now far surpasses the first 10 years of her life combined, a bond that I don't think we would have if not for FD.
That is so true! The bonds we have with our FD kitties is very strong indeed so, in a way, that is the silver lining.

Thanks you for being you and being here, Angela.

You've come so far yourself Kit. It truly is amazing to see the progress you've made - Thank you for allowing me to be a part of it :bighug:

Thank you. A lot of us newer people need to be reminded of this.
Thank you too for being here, for listening, for commenting. Even though its only been a couple of months, you have done sooooo well with Basic. :cat:

That's really touching, Angela :bighug::bighug::bighug:
I'd also giving hope. I too hope I'll feel more like it's part of the day. 5 months and there's still so much to manage and learn and figure out.
And thank YOU for all your support and guidance. You're a guardian angel :bighug::bighug::bighug:
