1/30 Cleo AMPS 278, PMPS 225

cleo's doing ok today.
acting like needle thingy didn't hurt her so i'm relieved so far.
numbers a bit wonkier today but could be moon. periodically she reacts to it.
at last this week she's acted as if pill pockets are her friend again. took that long for her worries about leukeran surprises being in there to subside, i guess.
(ate dry between amps and pmps. appy for wet is better but still not providing full meals for her so we're stuck supplementing with dry for a little while, i guess. at least it's wellness core)

Oh well, if its dry she will eat so be it. She is eating. You can work around that, you manage her so well. She is such a pretty girl. I have a Maine Coon Calendar and one of the kitties looks so much like Cleo. Hope you have a great day.

PMPS 225, +5.5~ 221

had a strip crisis. had two boxes and thought i had plenty, then realized they were 10-strip boxes. yikes. won strips on ebay early a.m. but don't know when i'll get them. one deal was $57.06 for 400 strips, but 200 will be expired: 100 exp Dec 2009 and 100 exp Jan 2010 (100 exp march 2010). figured beggars can't be choosers.

hours later i get a brainstorm and check cleo's room from when she had splenectomy. found 60 strips. whew. crisis averted. if i'd known i wouldn't have bought expired strips, but i'll hope they work okay. i think the Contour ones are fine slightly expired.

anyway, so, courtesy of the found boxes i got a +5.5 for her. was thinking i needed to limit testing to 2-3x a day. [can you say flat, flat, flat, tho?]

You've certainly had your ups and downs today. I'm glad you found your stash of strips and that Cleo decided that you weren't trying to pull a fast one with the pill pockets (well, you were but she needed her meds). As for the day, Clea has to eat and if she'll eat dry, she's eating.
