I am so upset. After a week of him having constipation and him finally going and seemingly starting to regulate *and* feel better, I gave my first fur shot tonight. Tonight of all nights, when we were feeling good, happy to see him more himself and now this set back.
Feels like we can't catch a break to help him and it's so upsetting.
I get it! We had Jack’s first fur shot two nights ago, and he was high already before that. Talk about angst!
The good news is, I guess, that recovery is possible. It may take a few days (or not, depends where he was at before the furshot). But if Jackson can start coming back down, Buddy sure can.
When I started, one of the members then had the concept of a fur shot jar. Every time you do a fur shot, you put a dollar in the jar. At the end of the year, you buy something nice for yourself with the contents. Fur shots happen.
The one thing about Buddy being on a bit higher dose, he'll get over the fur shot a bit faster due to the depot. Plus those blues will cause a bounce anyway.
