1/5 Jack: 398@amps, 406@+2

I don't have any great advice, but I hope things turn around soon. I know it's frustrating when you just want him to be better/healthier. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
He did this same nonsense in March last year; we got all the way to 9 units, I had him tested for Acro/IAA which were negative, and then he just started to come back down. I'm wondering if his body is repeating that loooonnggg cycle. It would be very odd, but I wouldn't put it past him. He's eating less carbs at night, so I was kinda hoping to see that reflected in his numbers. Oh well, thanks for listening to me vent. I really appreciate it, and it actually does help a lot. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

So a tiny bit of good news mixed with stress this evening: for the first time in forever, Jack ate JUST pate for dinner! I'll take this as a small win. Now, the stress of worrying that his numbers will fall overnight since he had so much insulin and not many carbs sets in. Technically he could fall 300 points and be safe I suppose, but I'd really rather he didn't do that. Guess I'm making coffee, binge watching something on the TV, and napping on the couch tonight. Ah yes, the exciting Friday night life of a crazy cat lady.

Hi Christine, I wish I had some advise for you, I know how frustrating this is for you.
I hope he turns around and you'll see better numbers. I hope the blood ketones come down, glad he ate only just pate for his dinner :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:

This is amazing! :bighug::bighug::bighug: Keep it up, I hope he gets off kibble forever... it's really the devil!
He only looks for kibble in the morning, and even that is a 50/50 mix of the Ziwi Peak air dried and Elsey's Pure protein. He doesn't get much, but if he doesn't get any, he refuses to eat. Lately he's eating less of the kibble mix so that's good as well. At night he gets only wet food, but most times insists on Friskies filets- at least a mouthful or two, or he refuses anything else. Last night he ate just pate, so truly an amazing decision on his part. His diet has seriously been more challenging than finding the right dose. He is extremely sensitive to carbs, so the fact that he's a mule about what he eats contributes to most of my problems. Thanks for checking in, hope you and Kona have a good weekend
