I'm sooooo tired. When Jack makes a decision, he makes a decision! We had a pretty yellow night last night, so I was able to grab some sleep, but when we woke up to 338 I was depressed. He demanded his usual breakfast of pate and kibble mix, I gave him his insulin, made a cup of tea, and put a stupid movie on the TV. Once the sun came up, I went outside to take all the Christmas decorations down before the snow storm starts this afternoon. I came in to use the bathroom and check on him and he was 149. I couldn't believe it. SO the next few hours consisted of bouncing between decoration removal and checking the cat. He's having a pretty good run so far. He is starting to come back up now, so I'm going to give his ears a break for a few hours, and grab a nap on the couch while we wait for the snow. It really is amazing how sensitive he is to carbs. Last night he didn't eat any filets and today we have a good cycle. He has been slowing down with the filets intake, so I'm hoping he really did make that resolution I was talking about a few days ago and we can finally make this the year of no kibble and no filets.
Praying all humans and animals in the path of the storm stay safe.
