A cute little lemon start that has resulted in Mowgli getting an increase! I hope he surfs safely today and we start getting back to those nice green numbers in time for Thanksgiving Weekend

He's hammering some breakfast now, and managing to maintain his status as a soft cutie Keep it up boy

I use to make that jelly. Love it. Also a dish called yams and apples, yummy!!!!

 

We’re cooking the Turkey Sous Vide this weekend, it’s kind of a weird concept because you cook it in a water bath but after it’s done you sear it in a cast iron pan and caramelize the skin... it is SO DELISH!!

mmm yams and apples ... that sounds awesome. Yams are not as traditional a part of Thanksgiving in Canada as in the US I find, do you have a recipe for Yams and apples that you could send DM to me? I would love to try it, it sounds DELICIOUS!!

Hehehe I’M not diabetic! Mowgli’s excited too he wants some turkey breast!! He was freaking out to get some chicken breast last night! So cute!!

Yes our race to have Thanksgiving before the states I’m taking Friday off this week so I can have an extra long weekend, can’t wait!!

 

Cook turkey in water??????? What kind of pot holds a large turkey. Can't even picture it.

 

Now that makes the BEST holiday when our fur dolls are included!! Turkey, nom nom nom; chicken ok too, yes yes

 

I know? Bizarre right!? We use a stock pot. We quarter the turkey, you have to start the legs and thighs first because they need higher temp. Then you add the breasts and finish the legs with them. You’re REALLY going to find this weird but you put the quartered turkey in food safe bags (ziploc) and then put the bags in the water, truly seems so weird but it tastes so good. I’ll take a before and after picture for you this weekend

 

I celebrate your TG with one of your fellow Canadian family & they did something similar but with Rose Water . I heard Rose Water & was so sad thinking the turkey would be ruined. Boy was I wrong....OMG SOOOOO amazing! I try to find peeps with any alternative holidays to add to my calendar LOL!! I am happy to celebrate (and eat) through them all!!

I mean I usually start trying to lose my summer weight (yes I gain summer weight not winter weight... foods, booze, travel, etc...) in August, but this year I am gifting myself to wait until after Halloween

Yes we use it a lot! Especially when we’re lazy! We mostly use it for meat, but Ross has made really delicious hollandaise sauce and poached eggs with it too! If you have one and you want to give it another shot we use the chef steps website for recipes!

I’ll let Mowgli know you’re rooting for him! If you were here he would give you a forced head butt, purr loudly, and drool on your lap
