I've spent the whole day on the phone trying to find some different approaches that will help Cindy. While trying to keep a watchful eye on Olive. She hit 91+6 so gave her a mini meal with 1 small drop of honey like last time just to try and slow her from dropping much further so I can attempt to hold her steady again. It's been a challenge dealing with two cats at the same time with different problems as I try and find balance for both. Olive is doing well, but I've spent so much time worrying over Cindy and trying to get food in her that I'm not sure what Olive has been up to this morning other than napping when I'd walk by.
Cindy's vet isn't in today (figures) so had to leave a message. I told him I want to work WITH HIM in a holistic Medicine approach because this medicine just isn't doing it for her. They had me decrease the pill again by half every 6 hours now instead of half a pill every 12. At least she ate a little on her own after the decrease but I also have the appetite stimulant in it that Doc P suggested. I think it's worth giving Eastern medicine a chance. Won't know until we try and if she stays with the western medicine it's going to destroy her body in the end anyways. I like to keep an open mind and all the research I've done in the last few days shows a lot of promise going the holistic route. I personally think there's just not enough scientific evidence to back up Eastern medicine because the vast majority of people stick with western medicine. I think there's room for both!
