She hit the black again last cycle but at least it didn't stay there long. Strange thing is she was exactly the same number from +2 to +3 this morning. I don't think that's ever happened before. Olive's been doing well. Lots and lots of scent marking going on.

Okay, so this is the strangest cycle I've seen with Olive yet. Anyone have ideas why she has virtually remained the same for the first half of the AM cycle?

Flat cycles are completely normal - I've seen @Wendy&Neko say flat yellows could be a sign of an active cycle to come. She's said it recently but I could only find an old post quickly for reference (link).

FWIW, Jax has lots of flat cycles (he's having a nice green one today!).

Oh, ok. Active cycle as in dropping BG too fast and too low? Wow, Jax has been giving you some lovely greens and blues. Nice! Do you know off hand how many carbs are in a can of Wellness Complete turkey pate?

Not necessarily too low but one where you should at least monitor those first couple hours. Could be one where you need to steer a little (or a lot...only Olive knows ).

Do you know off hand how many carbs are in a can of Wellness Complete turkey pate?

Less than 1% for the chicken and turkey. Wellness puts their nutrition info on their website which is so nice. Here's the link to the pate - pick a flavor and then scroll down & click on the PDF for the nutrient profile. My civvie cat Benji wouldn't go for the FF but does like Wellness so I've been switching Jax to it (it is more expensive than FF) - I have this crazy dream of my two kitties eating the same food just to simplify things

Sometimes flat yellow signals an active cycle to follow. Sometimes it just signals a flat yellow cycle.

Olive is just easing her way out of that big ole bounce...easy does it there on the lemon-road Olive. Easy does it.

You know that's Luci's very favorite color...she just loves her lemons...

Hang in there...things will level off soon..or maybe not soon...but eventually.

It will be interesting to see what she does tonight. Often flat yellows can mean lower numbers in the next cycle. But like Wendy said not always.
