I am not sure why but lately when loading syringe a small bubble is there that doesn't go away when I tap or shoot some of the extra insulin out. so then I dispose of that dose and do it again and usually by second or third try it is bubble-free. I am wasting so much insulin. I don't recall having this issue before so not quite sure what might be going on. It happens if I push air into it and then draw it or just draw it. Thanks for any ideas.

Yes, I've encountered the odd bubble that refuses to get pushed out of the syringe in the first attempt. Are you at the bottom of your pen?
Are you using pen or a vial? With a pen you don't push air into the pen before drawing insulin out. That's only with a vial.

Try pushing the plunger down fully, holding it pressed and releasing it when you insert it into the pen. See if that prevents a bubble?

Thanks for responding! I am using a vial. I will try your idea!
Once you squeeze air into the vial and invert it to draw insulin, try to see if you can get all the air to be at the top and not around the rubber stopper. That way only insulin gets into the syringe and not air.

Is the stubborn bubble at the bottom (near plunger) or tip (near needle) end of the barrel?
Thanks for responding! It starts at the top to middle. I tap it and sometimes it goes to the bottom. I try to shoot some out and it just stays so I get frustrated and just shoot the whole out and start over.

The brand syringe I’m currently using does that a lot. I want to switch to BD (which didn’t the two days I tried them) but Methos’ numbers are all over the place so I switched back for continuity.
I’m no expert but I found if the stubborn bubble is at the top if I pull the plunger back a bit before moving it forward it sort of consolidates the bubble at the very apex and I can get rid of it more often
