412 at AMPS; ketones still running a little high (2.6). Starting cycle 4 at this dose. Guess we'll just keep climbing...

Any thoughts about his anemia? (See Labs tab of SS.) HCT, Hb and RBCs are all low, reticulocytes aren't elevated, and lymphocytes and WBCs in general are also trending downward but mostly still in the normal range. Apparently that suggests a nonregenerative anemia but that's as far as I've gotten with interpretation. Won't be able to talk to the internist about it until Monday; she's off for the weekend.

The vet hasn't been in since Thursday; she said if the IGF results came in Friday she'd have someone else call me, but it's possible that fell through the cracks. I'll call Monday to follow up. I also have some other questions for her about the anemia and stuff, and want to get started with R. Ketones are coming up a bit again...

@Marje and Gracie has been out of town on holiday, and just back. Not sure she's caught up at home yet and when she'll be on the board again. In the mean time, Tanya's CRF site has some good info on anaemia.

Sorry you haven't heard from the vet yet on R and that ketones are rising. Have you called around any pharmacies to see if you need a prescription for it? Any luck with fluids yet today?

Thanks, I had been looking at Tanya's site. Need to read it in more detail. I got nearly 100 mls of fluids into him just now (first time doing it on my own, and it went just fine). Fingers crossed that will help with the ketones, though now I'm also concerned about stressing his solo kidney. One of the things I want to talk to the vet about.
