Nothing has really gone on with Leroy so we haven't been posting. His leg has been wrapped since last Saturday. I'll have to take a peek under there tomorrow and get some pictures for the vet. The wound is healed and the sutures are probably still in but I'm afraid to leave it unwrapped and have it bleed again 🫣

BGs are typical - a mix of yellow and blue:rolleyes: I started a new pen a few days ago. It hasn't done much to improve bgs. He's due for a curve and increase anyways.

Litter box situation is the same :blackeye: I'm funding FDMB with all my Amazon purchases for pee pads 😝

Civvie is fine, just asking when magic dog will be back😄 Probably not until the holidays.

Half the rats go to the vet next Saturday to get their tumors checked out. Paddern's butt still isn't normal but I don't know what more the vet can do about that.

TBP is still 💩 I have to take a brief medical leave soon. I need carpal tunnel surgery on both wrists 🫣 The work I do is just aggravating the issue I've had for 20 years. I guess the lab will have to to temporarily outsource my work. Long term I might not be doing too much of the work anyways to minimize the wrist issues and the compliance committee has recommended that I spend more time keeping this lab in compliance. The lab is in deep 💩 with the compliance committee right now. No luck on the job hunting front 😞

Thanks for the update. Sending lots of hugs of support and strength 🫂

You have a lot going on with your crew and yourself.
I’m always impressed by your stamina and determination ❤️‍🩹💕😻🫂

Good luck with the various animals. That is a lot of rats going to the vet at once!

Best wishes for the upcoming carpal tunnel surgery. Runs in my family too. :banghead: Hope that TBP situation sorts itself, or you find another place soon.

When I had to haul 17-lb Jude into the vets daily to get his antibiotic medication, I ended up suffering De Quervain's tenosynovitis, which required surgery. It wasn't too much in terms of recovery, but I have to admit that things are still not completely copasetic. I hope your surgery is much more effective. Demand PT, if that is covered under your insurance.

I might have cubital tunnel surgery done at the same time 🫣 There's an elbow nerve that also affects the wrist and fingers.

Physical therapy is covered by insurance.

Maybe I can use this as a way for a career transition into compliance and get some experience while looking for a new job 🤔
