Happy Sunday! :)

We did see some better numbers today but not as good as I would like too. Binie saw some higher blue numbers but shooted back up quite quickly. Don't know why. She wasn't eating anything special. I missed taking a handheld reading of the blue numbers because I hoped she would go down a bit more. I noticed that this time the libre is giving me higher readings, even in the blue numbers. But I think even with a handheld her readings wouldn't be where I want them to be.

I will see another six cycles what 2 IU can do for her and than we might have to go up again.

Hopy everyone has a relaxed and calm Sunday! Here we have shitty weather so it is a good excuse to stay inside. At least for me, Binie is keeping up her routine and takes care of the neighborhood safety. :cat:

Hi Colleen,

I think cooking broth for 20 hours is far more than opening cans and pouches! Sounds like you always went to the max for your boys! They are so lucky to have you. I never cooked bone broth for Binie but for humans and I think 8 hours is already good - even though longer is better. When Binie was so sick in May I made chicken broth for her but she was not interested at all. It was when her ketones have been so high and she spent a night in hospital.

I wonder what is the story behind the banana truffles? :) I am sure Binie wouldn't be a fan either.....

I am sorry for cheering for the wrong numbers. I sometimes forget you are using the Alpha Trek so I have to read them different. Sorry, Saturday was so exhausting as well but I am glad last night you saw a beautiful Van Gogh night sky!

Hello Heike! yay, blues today, keep going, Binnie
What I call "broth" is usually just the water her chicken was boiled in. I make broth when I roast a chicken or cut up one, I just boil the bones and some meat left on them, but it's usually just about one or 2 hours, no more. She loves it either way.
It's nice and sunny here today, perfect for gardening! Bella will not want to go outside, it's windy and way too cold for her. The heat vent is better in her taste.

Hi Heike,
I’m glad to see that Binie saw some blue numbers even if she bounced back up. I feel like anytime in blue is better than none at all:cool:
I hope she enjoyed her Neighborhood patrol today, even if the weather isn’t so nice. It sounds like she doesn’t mind anyway.
Hope you got some stuff done in the house and got to relax a bit and I hope you both have a quiet restful night.

Hi Staci,

thank you so much for checking on us! :bighug::bighug::bighug: I think Binie enjoyed her time outside - like always. I also did a walk tonight, the air was nice and cool. I ran into a catfight next to our house and I am so happy Binie is not part of this anymore. I think even without diabetes, it would have been time for her to retire. I see Ivy has another beautiful flat blue cycle today.:cool::cool::cool:

Hope you can enjoy some relaxing time and a quiet night before the week starts! :bighug::kiss::bighug:

I’m so glad Binie isn’t involved with outside cat fights. That’s the last thing you need to deal with. Glad she’s safe in your home with you :bighug::kiss::bighug:

Hi Cecile,

thank you so much for checking on us and for the inspiration! :bighug::bighug::bighug:I don't cook much with meat but next time I make chicken I will try that. Maybe she likes it then. Last time when I tried she was really sick so maybe it had nothing to do with taste.

You seem to have much better weather than we have, here it is cold with rain and windy. Not so nice.

The cold and rain and snow are all coming today here too :-)
