Yesterday.

Another start in the lemon tree! This morning's ear poke was not too bad, it only took me three tries and one escape attempt by Ruby to get the blood going.

She was super hungry this morning, walking all over me in bed and head butting me to wake me up. About an hour before her usual test/feed/shoot time, she was retching and threw up a little bit of fluid. Her appetite did slow down a lot in the last day and her numbers have been high, but I'm keeping an eye on this and will give her a little Cerenia if this continues.

Sometimes I think they vomit because they're too hungry. Their stomachs are like a clock and acid starts to build up if they are overly hungry
I'm glad this morning's test was a bit easier for you. It'll get better still. Only one escape attempt seems pretty good

Hope Ruby feels better I can't remember if Ruby likes low-carb snacks but you can try fending her off with a freeze dried chicken treat (or whatever ruby's favorite flavor is). But then she might wake you up for treats lol. Silly cats

Yeah, I actually do not give into early morning food lobbying because then she thinks she can get her way all the time. Ruby might be the boss but I retain veto rights. I also find all of the head butting and nudging to be cute, the vomit not so much.
