Gremlin was a cuddle bug again this morning. Though after he had his injection for his shoulder, he slept a lot. It must make him drowsy. I gave it to him at +6 and he barely stirred until almost PMPS! Then he was a cuddles again.

Vines and prayers to all that need them.

Have a restful night Laura and Gremlin :cat::cat: Hope everyone is refreshed in the AM :bighug:
Thanks! I'm not sleeping well at the moment but not feeling overly tired... Yet... Grem slept super well!! We're having morning cuddles at the moment.
Nice on the cuddles. I hope the shot continues to help.
So do I Carla. One more weekly **** next week before we go to monthly maintenance. He's still not walking very well but definitely is happier.
Hi Laura! Sorry I'm always asking so many questions, but what kind of injection do you give him for his shoulder? Is it Adequan? I hope you are well. Glad Gremlin is snuggly!
I don't mind the questions Suzanne! It's called Cartrophen and is not approved for use with cats but it often given to cats by vets. My vet has used/seen it used in rabbits and guinea pigs too! But it's actually for dogs. It can be used at the same time as Meloxicam and helps to prevent further degeneration in the joints while helping with inflamation.

I'm sorry you are not sleeping well. I suppose things like Melatonin or Valeria, Magnesium, Passion Flower, Lemon Balm, GABA or 5-HTP or a lot of those other things don't help? There's a supplement that I like that has a lot of those ingredients combined in it. My daughter needs it more than I do, though. I usually just take a straight time-release melatonin or, if my brain won't shut off at night I might add in some GABA (not gabapentin, but gamma-Aminobutyric acid, which is one of the few things I have found that helps my daughter with her constant ice-pick headaches.)

Anyway, Thanks for the information on the Cartrophen. I looked it up and see that it's not available in the U.S. It is available in Canada, however. Apparently, the closest thing to Cartrophen in the U.S. is Adequan (I guess that's why I've heard of Adequan.)

I'm not tired surprisingly. It must be the medication I'm on doing its job. I had a four day break from it and I expected to not sleep the first night which is usual but I slept like a baby! Several nights later it's apparently hit me. As long as I don't crash, I'll be fine. I will take slow release melatonin tonight though. It doesn't do a huge amount due to my other med but it should help some. Thanks for all those other suggestions!! My son used to take Melatonin for sleep but stopped and now I do on the odd occasion. He should be taking it... What 17 year old (tomorrow he's 17) only sleeps 6 hours a night!!?!!

Sorry to hear you can't get Cartrophen there. I've seen mention of Adequan online, it seems to do the exact same thing. Pretty much. I didn't look super hard though!
