Bama is eating reasonably well this morning. Has not had a decent poop in a few days. Opted to give a dose of Miralax in some pumpkin along with some B12 & probiotic sprinkled from capsules already in use for him. Checked ketones overnight and they are negative. Creamed his right ear with Ondansetron, washed and dried his left ear for testing today. Did not attempt the phosphate binder. The phosphate binder in his food @ PM+3 may have been the reason for the vomiting. I had just scooped up what he didn't eat from pmps and offered it again at +3 with some additional FF from the same can. Guess he thinks I'm trying to poison him.

Plan to phone the vet tomorrow to get more sub-q fluids and to ask about getting a vial of Ondansetron to give in his sub-q line. He has been getting the Ondansetron transdermal in the am and I was giving an oral Ondansetron in the pm. But he has only vomited at night in recent weeks so apparently the oral is not helping and the transdermal does not last 24 hours. The battle to get either the Famotidine or the Ondansetron in him orally is not worth the fight. I'm not even sure he swallowed the Famotidine this morning. He managed to separate the capsule and I could see the pill fragments inside the part of the capsule he spit out. When I sent it back in his mouth, he got a taste of it and whether he swallowed it or not, I don't know. He refused to eat any more of the food I had been feeding at the time so I ended up tossing it out. No point in even attempting the phosphate binder after last night's debacle.
