Happy Friday, everyone!

Chispa had a vet visit this morning to get a pro-BNP in advance of a dental cleaning scheduled for 2/8/23. I'm dismayed that they are booking so far out, but it will be great to get it done. At the very least she'll be more comfortable, and maybe it will also help with her FD.

I really liked the new vet that she saw today. This one is a GP but also does the dental procedures. She seemed very knowledgeable and was so sweet with Chispa (gave her a little kiss and complimented her holiday collar). The only down side of the visit was learning that she has gained about .3 lbs since five weeks ago. So much for the diet plan! :banghead: Still, given all of her conditions, I'd much rather have her too plump than struggling to keep weight on.

It’s great to find vets who are knowledgeable especially with the FD kitties! I totally agree that a little plump is much better than not eating. Hopefully she will feel even better when she gets her dental. Biggie had to wait since August for his but only because that’s when he was diagnosed with FD and we wanted his numbers to normalize a bit first. I’m eager to see if it will help his FD. Fingers crossed. Hope Chispa’s diagnostics looked good. :bighug:

Glad you liked the new vet. I hope Chispa kept surfing today.
Thanks, Carla! She's pretty steady today, so I'm happy :cat:

I'm so glad Biggie was able to get his teeth done at last. Chispa was diagnosed in July, so it's been a long wait for her too. It's going to be so interesting to see if it makes a difference to their FD. Here's hoping!!:bighug::bighug:
