Heloooooo everyone
Merry Christmass and happy Hanukkah to those who celebrate
I've got a long update ahead.... first, I resigned from my job and will start a new part time position with less hours and days. More Fistuk time for me
I was searching for a nutritionist to start preparing food for my babies at home. So I thought it'll be good to get blood tests so I'm ready once I've found someone to work with.
And we discovered.... (all measures updated in the SS):
Fistuk's leucocytes are sky rocketing. Poor thing have been suffering so such for a long time I think. It's probably from the upper canines (all other teeth were extracted long time ago).
We started AB:cylanix, 50+12.5mg. After two days only and WOW. His energy perked up and he looks so much more himself. He's more alert and awake.
I'm also happy to report that this AB doesn't give him diarrhoea. He had just a mushy top on the baked goods and a bit of a mucky butt which I had to clean but that's nothing compared to what we suffered before when giving AB.
Next thing is Xray. We've got an appointment for Jan 17. Since my vet is a house visit vet I need to find a clinic where I could do the Xray and the operation. I found one which is ONLY FOR CATS

It made me so happy. They also specialise in sedation so it feels good. It's on the other side of the lake so it's a drive but for these rare occasions it's ok.
Our vet said that Fistuk might need to have once more AB later on.
Fistuk's eating much better now but I needed to syringe feed him. I'm happy that he still loves it, even more than loves.... BC I want him to gain a bit of weight that way I can stuff him LOL He loves it
The good news is that he doesn't have bacteria in the bladder and his kidney values did go up so badly. So it seems that the Renax I give him help to stabilise.
His liver enzyme values are also elevated. I started giving some milk thistle but I think the little diarrhoea he had (before starting AB) was from that. I had to stop it - to changes at one time. I also changed his food. Once we stop with AB I'll start with milk thistle again and perhaps this time a bit more slowly.
We also took blood from Prince. I wanted to make sure he's good and luckily he is.
We wish all the humans and furry angles a boring year of green colours all around and no dramas
Thank you for being here for us with your love, kindness, guidance and encouragement.
Much love,
Fistuk and Shelly
and Prince and Robert too
