Good morning :)

We had a green night but a very blue morning. By the way Fistuk eats, a bit ravenous, I do wonder if he went low a couple of times over the past days and I missed it.

I was out most of the day out yesterday so he had food only at +3 then +10.5 in AM cycle. But he kept on asking so I had to give him bit more at +11 and +11.25. I thought he'll have a food bump so I tested at +3.5PM but he was at 80's.

Anywho.... I'm not worried about this blue but I might test a bit more during the night today if I can because it looks like I'm down with a cold :/

On a very positive side, Fistuk keeps being energetic in the morning. Robert took care of him this morning and told me he was already waiting by the bedroom for at breakfast time then walked by himself to the kitchen-this hasn't happened for months!

Also, we've started AnimalBiom PB every other day as advised (to introduce the PB more gently after it caused discomfort with first introduction) and today he gave a perfect POOP POOP HOORAY :joyful: According to poo score. It was long rather than piled and not too moist or hard, good colour and came out in one go. I'm happy to say that the animalbiom probiotics seems to be a very good one.

As for Prince, I communicated with a local vet that does home visits. She's on new year break and was kind to offer a suggestion on her email (very very unuasl for Swiss professional to offer such for free!). She advised on feline acne to not use oils (CBD or coconut) bc it doesn't let the skin breathe. Instead, to rub some honey.

I'm happy about it because I'll also try her for Fistuk. In transparency I confess my bias, preferring vets who've been trained in the US and she's been in Colorado for her post doc. She's doing home visits and supported my request to try natural solutions first. She might just be my kind of woman :D (if you're accompanying me you're familiar with my aversion to vets). It's another Christmas gift for me!

I'm rolling around the house from overeating :p

Wishing you all a smooth post Christmas recovery

Hi Shelly,
She sounds like a wonderful vet.
It's always so much easier if you could have a home visit, rather than having to take a screaming cat to the clinic where other cats are also screaming and dogs are howling.
So happy to hear that Fistuk is energetic and enjoying life. That's the most important thing of all!
Wishing you Shelly a swift recovery from the cold and happy Wednesday! :bighug:

I had to laugh, Kit, hen I read your description. It's so much so, so no wonder they don't like going to a screamy place :p
Thanks, Kit. I wanted to go this morning to stock up with green tea in my favourite shop. I'm happy I didn't leave the house. It's getting cold here and it wouldn't have helped :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly, wow, a very good report for Fistuk today. He’s looking great. The probiotic sounds like it’s going a good job. Such a nice change for him. Maybe that’s why he feels more at ease to move around and is more playful! Yay.
I love that the vet you contacted will come to your home and have great advice. She sounds like a great match for you. (I would love her, too. My kind of vet).
Hoping the honey treatment will help Prince. Let us know.

I hope you feel better. Lots of tea and fluids. Chicken soup would be nice, too.
Have a restful and healing day :bighug::kiss::bighug:

Yes, Staci, I'm sure that better digestion health helps every thing else in the body. Works the same for humans. I'm happy to learn that this is working. It's an expensive trial so it wouldn't have been a pain...

Interestingly enough, I prepared a huge pot of chicken broth just before the holiday. I use it for cooking as well so it's nice to have some broth to drink. And my friend brought a nice Yorkshire tea so I'm all set. Hubby's going to work so I'll have some time for myself. Picked up Jung's red book and planning to disappear from the world for a few hours :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Honey is such a great product. I read that it can even be used on infected wounds. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8496555/ Just be sure Fistuk does not lick his brother ;) Bella licks everything and everybody she likes, she's quite cute when she does that. I fell in love with her the first night we had her (even more than when I saw her sitting in front of us at the humane society, that is) when I kneeled in front of her to say good night and she licked my face :joyful:
I am so glad to read your descriptions of Fistuk, he seems to be getting better every day.
Is your appartment hot? My mom complains all the time, she cannot turn the radiators compeltely off and she is always too hot.

Honey is an amazing gift of nature :)
Bella is so cute :joyful: getting a lick from Fistuk is a very rare occasion. He gets even agitated when Prince licks his head to groom him. Prince has such a huge, caring heart and Fistuk is such a bandit :p

Yes, our flat is hot. That's one of Robert's theories about princes acne. We're experimenting with getting the right temp. Since we're new here and it's floor heating we need to wait for 2-3 days for temp change after shifting the knobs. I hope that by the end of winter we'll find the right heat :woot:

Sounds like a nice meowning at your house and happy to hear Fistuk is slowly improving. It's such joy to see them get better.
We hope you have a boring day.

Aww, so happy to hear that Fistuk is feeling perky and pooping like a champion today! I hope a little honey on the chin will be just the ticket for Prince -- and I hope the homemeade chicken broth and Yorkshire tea, along with a little R&R, will have their devoted mama back in action before long. Feel better soon, Shelly! :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly I just love your description of the poop :D
Such a good report on how Fistuk is doing. Nice greens today and nice PMPS.
I hope your cold doesn't get too bad.
Hoping you can get a good sleep tonight :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:
