Oh, happy days!!! Libre 3 and $40, even though the GoodRx site listed it for $130 for 2. fingers crossed that it is an improvement over the Libre2. At least it's smaller, the size of 2 pennies stacked, instead of 2 quarters stacked. Now that she is used to them, even if not needed, Millie will be wearing all her new stylin' T-shirts.

6 hours later...Millie has her new sensor and it is different. I don't have to scan it, it automatically updates the numbers every minute. However, I can't manually scan, therefore I don't have a list of numbers and times, just graphs. Not sure how I feel about that. The gap in the numbers is less, so that is good. The sensor is way smaller.

I like this new vet in the practice. She is, evidently, on top of the feline diabetes patients, as they are applying a lot of Libres these days. While I was watching her apply it today, so I can do it myself from now on, we chatted for the first time. Her sister works for Cooks Childrens Hospital and, while I can't remember her job title, she is basically a diabetes counselor/advocate/something like that, for children. Dr. Hobbs said that whenever they have a conversation, it's about diabetes. Hallelujah.

I sent her my graphs from the Libre 2 and my spreadsheet, and she asked me to roll back my dosage increase from Sunday night. She was concerned about the one really low number, combined with her fluctuating inappetence. Bhooma voiced the same concerns. so, while I'd love to have Millie at lower numbers, overall, I'd rather not be the reason for her demise if she crashed while I wasn't here. I'm okay with that, since she was the one who wanted to take over Millie's care and she lobbied for the Libre.

The adventure continues...
