Yesterday numbers were a little wonky, but not bad considering the BCS and recent reductions.

I'm mainly off work this week. So if Butters wants to do some work of her own, this would be the perfect time to do it. Just sayin'.

Absolutely this makes sense. I would really like to make this change to bupe. I might give it a try soon. In addition to the 2 less effective doses of 2 drugs, I don't like that gabapentin is hard on her kidneys with CKD in the picture.

Not yet. The incident is under investigation and all will be revealed soon.

Butters has been doing this slow slide all cycle...right into the low 50s @+9. I don't know when it will stop, so I fed 1/2 tsp 16% and some lc pork.

I don't know if this is a bounce breaking cycle or if this is a late nadir or maybe both. I'm assuming her depot hasn't fully drained from the first .25U reduction + the BCS + the 2nd .25U reduction.

I'm hanging onto the comic for future use.

She made it! Thanks for keeping each other updated while I was/am dealing with a work issue on my day off, lol. . Susanne, you summed up my feeling of seeing a 50s PMPS tonight perfectly.


Butters must have some of the depot from the 4.25u and the 4u still in play here.

I hope Butters and kit both surf especially politely and let us all get some sleep tonight. Paws crossed. I hope this is okay to say. Don't show kit. Butters is not near me, sleeping under the hot air vent in the basement.

 

50 @+2.25 - ....cute.
One takeaway from 12/26 was to use HC and syrup with a drop this early in the cycle. Therefore, I fed 1 tsp HC.
68 @+2.75 - no food given. Another takeaway was to test again in 30 minutes rather than wait an hour. Therefore, I will test again @+3.25.

 

This is like a miracle Lyla. Butters is looking fantastic.

Testing again, 30 minutes after feeding 21%.

Sleep what is this sleep you speak of? It sounds familiar. lol.

I couldn't believe it, either. I rechecked and it's true she did.
She has had two reductions and a BCS over a three day period one day ago. It seems a little soon to do yet another reduction. But if you, @Wendy&Neko and/or @tiffmaxee wouldn't mind giving me some guidance/advice, I could really use some!

She is now 58 @+4.25 - I fed 1 tsp 16% gravy...because...I'm trying to figure out how to keep her surfing. Or something like that.

@Marje and Gracie @Wendy&Neko @tiffmaxee Butters has earned a reduction tonight, right? This the 4th cycle after a BCS - could it still be the depot?

 

Fourth cycle on this dose after a BCS, so five cycle since the 4 unit dose - I'd take the reduction.

 

It's going to be another long night. I'm so paranoid that Butters will drop too low if I let her go too long without a test.
Even if I tried to sleep at some point, I'm not going to be able to.
Looks like Butters and I will be binge watching something on TV.

Thank you. When you say that you always stay up until two hours have passed without food, I was wondering if that's because you always test every 30 minutes for those two hours? Maybe this is a dumb question. If you weren't testing every 30 minutes you'd sleep and set an alarm, maybe?

 

No. I tested hourly. That was when Max would be under 50. He usually came up with hc or hc and a couple drops of Karro. I’d test in 20-30 twice and then two checks an hour apart without any food unless he was at least 80 after an hour.

 

41 @+5.25. Fed 1 tsp 21% and 1 tsp raw pork.
I'm continuing with 30 minute tests. And the two hour clock for no food has been reset.

I know! I am very, very lucky that I don't.

I know. So much has changed with her in just over a week: she has gone from being stuck in high numbers to having a depot I feel like I can't keep up with.

 

When Netflix asks you if you're still watching your TV show, that's a hint that maybe it's time to stop. But I'm not going to stop. I'm five episodes into Schitt's Creek and it is hysterically funny! I can't believe I never watched it before.

I feel like I can officially call this night a PJ party.
For the record, I really enjoy sleep (when I actually do sleep). I'm not a night owl. I'm going to be tired. I hate napping. I have FOMO when I nap in the middle of the day.

Do you think another BCS makes sense? Even if Butters bounces in the morning? Lyla is having difficulty keeping her over 50.

 

I think if Butters bounces in the morning I would just reduce but if she’s cleared it by PMPS then I would think about a BCS tomorrow night to avoid another pj party.

 

58 @+6.75 If she goes another 30 minutes without food, that will be two hours. So technically I could go to sleep but I will set up snacks in the auto feeder. Should I still think about getting tests? I think so...maybe a +10.

What if she is not bouncing in the morning? Should I think about a BCS in the morning if she is not bouncing in the morning.

 

It’s up to you but I think I would for your sake. I don’t think it will hurt Butters and you have got to be exhausted.

 

If she is above 50 at the next test I would set the auto feeder and go to sleep. I don’t think you will need a +10.
