(which, oddly enough, is also the current average BG value shown on the testing unit)
 
how did the experimenting with keeping donovan in your bedroom at night turn out?
the amps numbers are almost always higher. any chance of feeding a snack a couple hours before amps? if his pancreas is working it *should* bring the amps numbers down.
 
Donovan only stayed with me one night. It's not his "thing" to do that, so don't know what got into him then. He can snack on Evo dry in the morning if he wants before anyone is up, but wet food generally isn't offered until about 1-1.5 hrs before AMPS (and I have to drag my ass out of bed for AMPS :roll:). Have not attempted the hockey-puck wet food thing. I have my doubts since Donovan insists on a freshly opened can most of the time, plus the other 6 might scarf it instead of him.

so he's being fed an hour - hour and a half before the AM shot? that could explain the higher amps numbers.
snacking on evo dry during the night could also explain the numbers.

i sound like a broken record, but is there ANY way you could completely remove the dry from donovan's diet?
donovan is "this" close to becoming diet controlled. i wouldn't be pushing you if i wasn't convinced the dry is holding him back from going OTJ.
some kitties react to dry more than others. like my alex, i think donovan is one of them.

PM +6 = 170.
As far as I can tell he hasn't done anything since PM +3, unless he got a snicky-snack I don't know about. Yeah, I should be sleeping but I'm probably gonna be up for a few more hours analyzing data for work (ah, the life of a scientist.... :roll:)
