Good morning :)

We had a bit of a late bedtime ceremony last night. Fistuk fell into deep sleep after the yowling episode. The kind of sleep I'm familiar with when we had ongoing diarrhoea and constipation. He felt exhausted from trying to get through the discomfort.

He woke up after the +3 poke and went to the living room full of beans. Wanted to go out at minus 10!! to celebrate the snow maybe but he got a big fat No. So he started singing Pavarotti as he does. And at +4 a dramatic drop to 68. Luckily after food he relaxed and went to sleep - in his box and not next to me on the bed. Hasn't happened for months. But I welcomed the space ;)

I was concerned I'd find him troubled this morning but looks like he got over it rather quickly. Unlike how it was before, he's gotten stronger.

Still, +3 this morning not to my liking but I didn't give him the PB so hopefully he'll get back to normal quickly.

All in all, I've learned a few things about Fistuk's regulated being:
  1. Fistuk's not going to go below 68-that's he new lowest limit and he acts the way he used to when going below 50.
  2. He'll always have some low blues-that's his normal. ECID, after few months I get it :woot:
  3. His digestion is probably in good shape and it'll take a few more months to completely renew itself so I'll be very careful with introducing new PB, if at all. S. bouldarii is doing him good and perhaps it's enough for now. And I'm looking forward to Cecile's kefir grains :)

It's just over 4 months since diagnosis and I think Fistuk's gone through a marvelous metamorphosis. I was really desperate back then. I lost 5 kg in a week from worry and distress (I didnt have much to spare already...). I'll be forever in gratitude for each one of you and your support.

Now, I'm aiming to keep things regular and routine for Fistuk until we feel it's a good point to go for an OTJ trial.

Wishing you an inspired Sunday :bighug::bighug::bighug:

:joyful::joyful::joyful: I almost spit my coffee laughing!
I wish I could have seen his opera performance :p

Yes, he has done so well with your utmost diligent care! I am so happy to see him do well.
Weight loss of 5kg is a lot! Hope you get a lot of goodies for the holidays to compensate!

Have a great Sunday Shelly. :bighug::bighug::bighug:
Happy I gave you another good laugh, Kit :joyful::joyful::joyful:
He's quite the singer. I always called him Pavarotti and once a friend heard him in the act while we were talking on the phone and she agreed with me :woot:

I started "allowing" myself coffee with milk and honey and Zopf, which is a kind of local Chalah. I don't consume sugar, milk or wheat. It added only 1 kg. I got used to people seeing me and saying in astonishment "you lost so much weight". As long as I'm healthy I don't care how much I weight :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hello Shelly and Fistuk.

He's done so well over the last 4 months. It's really amazing how fast he's turned around and is continuing to go in the right direction. Both of you worked so hard. And the payout is almost here.

Please share his musical performance with the rest of us next time. We'd love to see it haha.
Happy Sunday!

If you want to gain weight, come to the US. We are so good at fattening people :p:p:p

Thanks, Karolina :) Also for always putting up these beautiful stickers.

I will do my best. Just like with his bakery, Fistuk likes the surprise element ;) :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I couldn't agree more. I don't think I've ever seen a kitty turn around so quickly and dramatically in my time on the FDMB. Your love and dedication are evident in every post, and I'm sure Fistuk would be the first to say he's a very lucky guy to have you caring for him! :bighug::bighug::cat::bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly, Fistuk has come a long way in 4 months, he's doing marvelous, you are doing such a great job with him. You're not a snow bunny Fistuk :p. No going outside for you :cat:. Hope you and Fistuk have a wonderful day :bighug::bighug::bighug::cat:
He asked to go out again, Diane and this time I couldn't say no :banghead: He's number went up a bit but he's come down now.
I'll tell him He's not a snow bunny. I think it'll come to him as a shock :woot::woot::bighug::bighug:

Really? WOW I didn't know that.... it was pretty dramatic at the beginning.
Thank you, Karen. I appreciate your kind words :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Hi Shelly, you are a true inspiration to all of us. Your hard work and dedication over the last four months has been incredible to watch. You have inspired us and given us all hope.
You brought Fistuk along so beautifully and he’s thriving. You guys are definitely on the right road and your diligence has paid off.
I can’t thank you enough for your kindness, and weighing in and lending a hand and a shoulder to lean on when needed.
It’s a true pleasure to watch you both thrive here. Have a lovely night, our dear friend :bighug::bighug::bighug:
