Oof! Immediately taking them out of the jar and putting in his purebites. I’ll use them for the kitty’s I’m trying to catch outside work!Could very well be! A quick search on Chewy has the carb content at 39% on a "as fed" basis.

Does anyone’s cat protest eating certain flavors sometimes? Zyler today isn’t happy with the choices I gave him…I know he eats them other times without hesitation but today he’s protesting. I hate having to throw out the wet food cause he lets it sit out all day, it’s so expensive and just frustrating. Sometimes I think if I give into him he’ll learn he can always do that to get his way, but also don’t want him not eating

Cleo has on more than one occasion demanded a buffet to decide what flavor she's in the mood

I usually refrigerate the rejected cans and try feeding them again a little later or the next day.

They have us wrapped around their paws for sure! Zyler will sometimes eat it with a little encouragement, today I hand feed him some then he decided it was good enough to eat on his own. Ohmy that's too funny.
I wouldn't worry about the pickiness as long as he eats enough calories for the day and as long as there aren't any other signs of concern, ex nausea.
