soooooooooo I win the idiot award this week .
I made some chicken breast in the oven 3 days ago and Tibbs loves chicken so
i have been cutting up a few pieces for him to have as treats at shot time.
well........ i forgot that i had put a tiny little bit of this sweet sauce on it ( yes i did say sweet !!!!)
and i TOTALLY forgot that i did it. Last night as i was cutting it up for him, the lightning bolt hit me
OH MY GOD-- I put in a little sweet sauce- i am a bozo !!!!
so that MAY be why my little boy had some high numbers? No wonder he loved it so much.
I swear if my brain were not attached to my body - ughhhhhhhhh
well needless to say, that's not going to happen again. i can't believe it forgot i did that.

2 of my other cats seem to be ill. throwing up-- i'm hoping it will pass other wise trips to the vet for them.

Hope everyone else is doing ok today. Do we have a "lost my mind" award here. I think i should win it this week . :D :D :D :D

dont be so hard on yourself, mistakes happen! As for the other who are throwing up, I would be suspect of food issues. Can you check the expiry dates of the cans you are feeding? Perhaps feed the sickies from a different "lot" of cans, see if it clears it up. Mel went through a bad batch of Friskies earlier this year and had 16 of them up-chucking!

Well this is good Nadine. Nothing worse than high numbers without knowing why. At least his numbers should come town now. No more chicken :).

My Silver LOVES ice cream. But he can't have any now.

yep - my brain is on vacation this week. LOL

Juliet My dh is diabetic and he has sugar free ice cream which doesn't effect his blood sugar.
Wonder if cats can have that or if it is bad for them too.

Deb- Lucian looks exactly like my Vinny - ( i lost him last year. :(
love those beautiful gray boys. Vinny was my angel.

It seems like the batches tend to get changed some in the fall, when the fall slaughter happens. I've had it happen with both Friskies and Wellness. Keep track of the can lot numbers.

Hi Nadine. At least you realised about the sweet sauce. I think some artificial sweeteners which might be in the ice cream can be toxic to cats.

Xylitol is definitely poisonous to dogs. (It's a sugar alcohol.)
