12/8 Ailish AMPS: 303, +4 185, + 10 335, PMPS 378

Woohoo! Best feeling is knowing you have backup and can actually do real things again. :) Say "Hi" to her from me and let her know she can post anytime from your login if she needs help when you are away.

Ailish is entering the phase where's she's starting to see more lower numbers than she is used to. The bounciness is to be expected at this point. Once she starts seeing more of good numbers, and longer stretches of them, she will bounce less. It's also possible she's seeing some fast drops in the first part of the cycle. What is your feeding schedule for her during the cycle?

New Dose Wonkiness is over by the end of the 3rd cycle of a new dose, so not that.

@Wendy&Neko

It feels great! Thank you I’ll definitely let her know.

At first I tried to have it scheduled in small amounts earlier, but she would sleep through the +1 and +2 meals.

Right now I have the timed feeder set up to keep wet food available to her from +2 until +10. She usually comes and eats at +3, +5 and +7, almost always finishing all the wet food. This basically mirrors her schedule when she ate dry before the diabetes.

Thanks for the insight into low numbers and bouncing!

At some point, it might be worth getting some early tests in the cycle, like +1 and +2. The +1 can give you a clue as to how much of a numbers bump she gets from her PS meal. A good thing to know if you are faced with shooting a number lower than you are used to. The +2 can help pinpoint whether that is her onset. Or if it's a bit later. Some cats dive a lot on onset, so trying to get some food in before onset can slow fast drops.
