Evening!

Well, after almost 5 days of being OTJ due to me being on vacation, I have returned to a PMPS of 160. I know this means he's not quite in remission yet, but it's still better than I feared I'd return to! So tonight I decided to give a drop dose and keep an eye for the next few days at that level. I'm now off for a week so should get a good idea of how he's doing. He seems a bit lethargic tonight, but I think he's just mad at me for leaving. Ha ha! Lots of snuggles will be given to make him happy again!

Hope everyone is well!

Hi @Bron and Sheba (GA)!
Yes, and thankfully none. How often do you recommend checking those?

If you are home and giving insulin I would just test a couple of times a week, just to be sure. It’s unlikely he would get them if he is getting insulin and he is eating well, seems well and his BGs are low blue and green.
If he is ever lethargic or off his food or sick, I would always test for ketones. Because even if he goes into remission, he will always be a diabetic but a diet controlled diabetic.
