http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/2-12-smudge-amps-463-pmps-437.225557/ Morning all, I think I'm a bit tired of being in the bounce house, but I keep reminding myself we haven't been on Levemir an entire week yet (officially tomorrow am), and to have patience.
Hopefully the bouncing gets better. It does seem to be less when kitties are in lower numbers though. Ollie still bounces at times even after a 2 years.
Glad you got that test last night. One trick some people use is a large glass of water before bed, test when you inevitability have you get up. I think you are fine to increase tomorrow to 3.75 units tomorrow or Saturday. I think the first yellow you got was a reaction to the new insulin, and since then her numbers are all above 300. This is a form of fast tracking, to try to get Smudge into better numbers faster, but still safely. For any lurkers, this suggestion is only for Bridget and Smudge.
I'll probably wait until tomorrow night to up her dose so I can grab at +6 at night and another on Saturday. I appreciate the continued help.
