2/15 Rae AMPS 204, +4 231, +7 295; vomited 3 times before +4

Hi everyone, I'm getting a little worried about Rae. We ran out of their usual wet food (Nulo pate) last night, so we went out and got some LC shredded Weruva. Would that be enough to upset her stomach?

She's never had a sensitive stomach before and only throws up occasionally, so this is very unusual for her. But she scarfed down the food this morning, so I'm also wondering if that had something to do with it. She hasn't thrown up for about 3 hours now, so she must have gotten it all out of her system.

Thoughts? Is it the food? I haven't given her any more food since her numbers are high; I figured that wouldn't be helpful. But she's hiding, which is also unusual, and seems more lethargic than her normal midday self.

Some cats can react to new foods, so that could very well be that.
Do you have chicken that you could boil, something easy for her? Or baby food, plain meat, chicken or turkey with no onions or spices?
The fact that she is lethargic sounds weird, though, if it was "just" from the new food, I would think she would act normally.
I hope you can find some bland food to feed her, and can you give us news?

Hey Cecile, the new food is just the weruva chicken, I don't think it has many spices or anything in it.

She doesn't have any of her molars, though, and it's a shredded variety when she's used to pate. We blended up the shreds for her dinner and are making sure she's eating slowly....

I'm really concerned about how high she got though. I know cats can sometimes have higher BGs from vomiting, but this is the highest we've seen since we switched to Lantus (almost 400).

I meant if you buy her baby food: some have stuff added to the meat
It's possible he is reacting to the skipped shot a few days ago and got higher because of that.
