Yesterday

Good Morning.
We are looking for another blue day (green would be better) for Max today.
I saved the ears last night and gave him a break. Hoping soon I will have a poke-a-thon happening with some green.
He was actually very uncooperating this morning with his test. He just did not want me to hold
onto his ear and even his treats did not distract him.

Max gobbled up his food and is now sitting like a king, paws crossed (l love that position) and
hanging out at the kitchen table.

Looking for a great day today.

Oh well, sorry he's not cooperating, maybe he needs some new treats??

Randi, I had to break down and give Max Pounce treats after his pokes. He wouldn't accept anything other than that. I know the noodles were boiling hard when I released that info but whatever it took to make him sit still for me.

Randi, I have always wondered how come some days Shadoe just doesn't want the test, and it's quite a standoff. It does not happen often, and when I eventually win (I am bigger and more stubborn), I don't even get any wacky number to explain the CATitude.

Max, now you listen good. You sit still for your bean and maybe, just maybe there will be some new surprise special better than anything else kinda treat.
Also, Shadoe says she does not want a hand off like 333, so please come on down so you can pass along a nice yellow or blue to her.

How's DPS doing? Does she still test him thru the day or your little daughter?

It was the strangest thing. I give him his treats while I poke him so he gets distracted.
He was so Mr. Fussy that I had to scold him and tell him I was the boss - like that worked.
Maybe he is getting sick of these Purebites Chicken. Between the 3 cats I'm going through the dog size bag very quickly. I just cannot find a suitable replacement.
I think I will post in Health and get some ideas. Off to the states tomorrow so maybe I will have a better selection.

Well my daughter is off school this week so she tested him yesterday (11 years old) she credited his 111 to her testing skills, how cute is that!
She didn't want to poke him last night, so I took over. When the meter went off she saw the PMPS # and said to DH "better block your ears cuz Mom's going to lose it. :lol: "

You could try Rotisserie chicken. I go buy them already cooked cuz I'm a big fat cheater. :lol:

Just don't let them have any skin cuz it's loaded with spices and salt. I had to resort to that when I was kittysitting Milo and going through treats like water.

OMG just saw DD is testing!! Tell her great job!

I am sure that Gabby will be more than happy to share the Drama Queen/King crown with Max. Although, it looks like Max had several hours to drop his numbers to a "respectable" level. If you keep letting him read Gabby's condo, he's going to learn how to do this in half the time!

Great green, Max!! :) Keep it up and your mama will be thrilled.

I think that's awesome that your DD tests. What a good experience for her. :)

I cannot wrap my head around a 400 jump.
There might have been a meter problem at +9 but no difference now I guess.
Yalk about Mr. Liver dumping glucose.
Guess we need to start all over again.
 
hmm, I dunno about meter error, it was a nice cycle none the less!

dont be discouraged, just keep at it, Max did really nice this cycle!
