Today was a really good day! I needed one and am grateful. Bell took Wendy's threat to heart and surfed beautifully. I really like the 70s while I'm at work, I didn't feel so anxious leaving her for a few hours. No more diarrhea since this morning, yay! I am now wondering if it was the MC food or not. At first I was convinced it was, since the day it started she had quite a bit of the MC with gravy. But I immediately stopped and her diarrhea was pretty bad for 2 days after that. Not sure if I should avoid that one (even tho it is the only higher carb food I've ever gotten her to eat). Happy she is feeling better, regardless!

What are you using for HC now? Does it have wheat gluten in it? I found I had to switch to MC and HC with potato for starch, namely the Weruva Cats in the Kitchen pouches. As a bonus, they were lower in phosphorus too.

I haven’t ever used HC. The only other wet food I’ve gotten her to eat outside of the classic fancy feasts is this one, which I believe is 14%. And that is just a recent development:

I feel guilty because I know fancy feast is not the greatest for her, especially with the phosphorus levels, but I’m scared of messing with a LC food she will eat.

I think she’ll turn up her nose at most anything if her numbers aren’t super low. But I may be able to get her to eat some other varieties when she gets into the 50s and 60s, since she gets ravenous. I’ll give your Weruva pouches a try! She hatttttted the Weruva paw licken’ chicken, which made me sad since it looked like actual food! I think the chunky textures turn her off. And a lot of other things

I’d appreciate any recommendations to try, I am a complete novice at the feeding the curve strategy. We’ve been making do with all LC with maple syrup/karo for emergencies (only used that one time).

Yup, it's been well more than 6 cycles since the last reduction, so this earns another one. Up Bell!

Wheat gluten is fairly high up the list. It caused problems with Neko too. Good luck with the hunt for something acceptable.
