I increased Taz's insulin to 1.5 this morning.

Today he's very active and really hungry, but he's careful when laying down and there's a lot of lip licking going on. Its almost identical behavior to when he had his last pancreatitis episode (2/12). I just gave him cerenia and I'll give some bupe as it gets closer to dinner time. Will the pancreatitis ever go away? :(

The last couple of days he's been nadiring around +7. Normal for him was around +3.

Nadirs move around on most cats. Unfortunately it sounds like chronic pancreatitis and it comes and goes. :bighug: Max had fewer episodes once his diabetes was controlled. He had chronic pancreatitis fir a few years before becoming diabetic. I got better at managing jus symptoms. Catching them early and I think that helped.

I really hope his pancreas heals and they'll disappear. But I have to be realistic that this might be a lifelong thing. I don't think he ever had an episode until the one when he was diagnosed with diabetes. He has a vet visit tomorrow, so I'm hoping to get some zofran. Cerenia is just too expensive if each episode is going to last several days. :(

It looks like we're in for a repeat of 2/11. His numbers are almost identical to that day so far. :(
