Good morning,

Good thing an increase was done again this morning as Baby is in the pinks :confused: She's back up to 0.50U so hopefully that dose will start to bring her back into the greens and blues. Fingers crossed.
 
Baby doesn't seem to be responding to either increase, although it's only the beginning of the 2nd cycle of the 2nd increase. I'm still confused about the massive increase in BGs and lack of response to the first increase after Baby seemed to be positively impacted by insulin in the beginning. Is it normal to have a good result in the beginning that tapers off, as Baby's has? I'm concerned she maybe has an infection again and am going to see if I can get a urine sample to get tested at the vet in case her UTI came back. This is likely something I need to do anyway as I believe it was suggested that I get her checked to ensure it went away.

I know this is a marathon, not a sprint, just trying not to be disappointed or worried about things going the other way after the positive results at the start. One day at a time!
 
Yes, it's normal for a cat's insulin needs to go up and down, but you might want to get a urine test done so you've eliminated any other reasons for her sugar being higher.
