Sorry just saw this now and am leaving. I leave pretty shortly after her shot. Maybe I should take an earlier lunch? Usually I come home to do a +5 or +6.
 
Couple updates. I think I'm going to have to do the food transition more slowly than I wanted to. Turns out a sample bag, given at 25% daily, only lasts maybe a day and a half. They gave me 4 bags; just opened the second one tonight, and the 6 pound bag I ordered is supposed to arrive Friday (hoping sooner but that's when they estimate). I'll ration out and keep giving at 25% until the bigger bag arrives and then I can jump up to 50%. Wish I could purchase it locally. She's also still eating a can of Fancy Feast tender beef pate twice a day, so hoping she continues that.

Additionally, today's situation got me thinking that maybe I will slowly work her shot time to something like 530 instead of 7...that way I can get a +2 in before going to work, if needed.

Isn't Dr. Elsey's available in local pet stores? I know that YA is only sold through the company website, but I thought Elsey's was available in stores.

This is a great idea. Can you be back in time from work for the PM shot?

I looked using the Dr Elseys site store finder and all they're showing they have is the various kinds of litter; not seeing any food.:(

Yes; I usually make it back around 5.

Could you just stop by your local pet store or Walmart and see if they have any? If it's on your way to/from work.
 
Tried looking at these individual stores websites with no luck, but I can try calling or visiting them to be sure. It's just litter everywhere. I'm wondering if an oddball kind of store like Farm and Fleet would have it. Somewhere people wouldn't normally expect.
Once she's successfully switched over 100% and I know she's good on it, I'll do an autoship like I currently have with her Purina DM. Love that because you don't have to worry about running anywhere or running out. I do that with her litter too because that was getting harder to find in stores.
