2/29 Bubbas AMPS 287 PMPS 216

I know this is a big no no for diabetic cats, but Bubbas was really starting to not eat literally any food or flavor I gave him. He grew up on Rachel Ray’s indoor formula and loved it. I’m kind of at my last hope and I don’t know what else to do to get him to eat, so I just went and got him some Rachel Ray hard food and he loves it! I gave him 1/4 cup, and he’s been eating it for the last 20 minutes. I understand that that’s a big no-no, but he’s also lost a pound in a very short amount of time because of him not eating. I would rather him eat dry food for right now, and have to up his insulin dosage, than him not eat at all and die. I’m going to experiment with this dry food and wet food thing this weekend and I’m really praying I can find a solution.

I am 100% leaving a tiny bowl of dry food out for him tonight so just he can finally eat and get the calories in. He’s been eating maybe a couple bites of food all day for the last couple days, so I am willing to let him eat and get the calories tonight bedore I do some food mixing experimenting this weekend.
